What customers say
This well-maintained campsite offers stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere, praised for its cleanliness, friendly owners, and excellent facilities including spacious pitches and spotless toilets/showers. Guests highlighted the on-site animals and proximity to local attractions and walks. While generally very positive, some minor points were raised regarding potential noise from a nearby road and occasional queues for facilities during peak times.

Spacious, great for kids and stunning views (Monsal Head very near)
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Family friendly, clean, well laid out with plenty of space for everyone. Our little girl made some great little mates.
Views and closeness to so many great little spots and Bakewell town too. We plan to come back every year!
Disliked A group of slightly loutish families backed onto us for two nights. They were loud late into the evening (well after 10) and effing n jeffing loudly during the day...it was bliss when they left when we still had a night left.
There didn't seem to be any hot water for washing up (but both showers i had were plenty warm enough) - probably just a timing thing.

Not for us
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The setting is beautiful and the sunsets are really lovely.
Disliked The 2 stern faces women owners who constantly drive around camp to make sure you are all well behaved. Then send their husbands to intimidate you and ask us to turn the music down (smooth FM) at 7.50pm even though away from the tent area you could not hear it!
This is a very very very quiet site and clients seem to want to stay silent so if your looking for somewhere with strict rules this is your site.
The showers were cold majority of the time. No hot water for washing up.
Family across from us lady very very drunk all the time and quite happy for us to look after her child on our slip and slide whilst she continued to be drunk! Poor child! we left our slip and slide for her.
I wouldn't return too strict for us we like to be back to nature and our children make memories and not have to be super quiet to the extent they are worried they got in trouble

Liked Plenty of space and can pitch up everywhere
Disliked Got there and the ladies had it in for us stright away by saying get the dog on a lead then my children went for a shower and the owner sat and watched them from out side to see if they was messing about witch they wasn’t that was the first night
Second night we was out at 9:30pm to be told to stop laughing and be quiet as everyone is in bed now.
Third night at 8:10 pm the lady’s then sent the men bosses to come and try to intimidate us to turn the music off as it’s nearly bed time!
The owners was so rude they just kept saying to us if your not happy with the rules pack up and go but they said it about 20 times in one conversation I thought was so rude they just appeared out the dark multiple times and they was pulling up to all the campers to ask them how’s your night been with us at the side of them which is rude. I would never come here again the toilets was horrible poo everywhere there was no hot water to wash your hands.
