Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Well signposted.
Site was flat, freshly mown, with plenty of open space in a beautiful, natural location.
Facilities were spotless and Rachel was on site frequently checking that all was in order.
Area around the facilities was very well kept with planters filled with pretty annuals.
The communal areas are filled with very helpful information from nearest pubs/restaurants, takeouts to where to catch the local bus! All geared to help you get the most out of your stay.
Firepits can be rented at a small cost.
There are signs all over the site giving contact numbers for Rachel if any problems occurred or something wasn't attended to.
The animals were an additional bonus especially for families with small children. The quiet after 10pm rule was adhered to well even though there were groups on site.
For those who need wi-fi or phone coverage you may find it difficult, but to be honest, imo you don't go to the middle of a beautiful natural area to spend time on your phone!
An absolute bargain for the facilities on site and we'll definitely be back.
Disliked Nothing to dislike at all.

Everything really - lovely site and we will definitely return
Disliked Nothing - would be nice to have an option for electric for longer stays especially trying to keep things cool in the heat recently but this wasn’t essential!!

Enjoyed our stay
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We stayed here a couple of years ago and enjoyed our stay. As we were in the area again we decided to use this site as it was so clean last time. It did not disappoint. Facilities were kept spotless, despite it being a hot weekend and the campsite being full.
We also like the relaxed nature of where we can pitch our tent. This meant we could decide and be near family, who were also booked in that weekend.
It has a fantastic cafe at the end of the road which is easy walking, but with ample parking if you are feeling lazy. Plenty of choice for places to eat within a short car ride.
