What customers say
This adult-only site offers exceptionally large, private pitches with water and electric hook-ups. Guests appreciate the peace and quiet, ideal for dog owners and those seeking a rural retreat. Nearby pubs and cafes are frequently praised. However, the lack of toilet and shower facilities is a recurring point, with some finding the pricing high for what is offered. The site's appearance and maintenance have also been noted as areas for improvement.

We found the camp site great.…
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked We found the camp site great. Shame there is no toilet that was a problem for us. The fishing was also great. We wouldn't go back unless they have a toilet.

Perfect for a quiet break
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked We had a great weekend here. So peaceful. Each pitch is private. The walks around the lakes are lovely. Looking forward to booking again and trying out the cafe.

Great quiet stop for the self contained
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The pitches at this site are amazing. Unusually large with hard standing, a large grassed area and high hedges making them feel very secluded. Each pitch has an electric hook up and a water tap. Most are fairly level. We did use ramps but could have got away without them.
Great location with walks directly on site around the fishery.
It was very quiet with only a couple of other campers.
Adults only but dogs are allowed on leads. There are no facilities for dogs.
There are no facilities on site so you need to be self contained. No showers, toilets, washing up area or grey waste disposal. This is made clear when booking. There is an Elsan point which looks quite new.
Joanne was very helpful and responsive to messages.
Disliked Not really a dislike - just a comment for the owners.
It wouldn’t take much to turn this from a good site to an excellent site. The bin situation was confusing. Lots of bins in one place, but nothing labelled for recycling.
A grey waste disposal point would lengthen the amount of time people can stay.
The map on site doesn’t make clear where it’s ok to go. Signs which had fallen down appeared to ask walkers to not go beyond certain points, but when we enquired it was ok to walk along the rough road.
Obviously the addition of toilets - which there are adjacent to the site but not for campers use - would also increase the popularity of the place. We liked it though and would come again for a day or two.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked We love this site. It’s clean and well maintained with water and electric on enclosed pitches.
It’s in walking distance to a very friendly village with two excellent pubs/restaurants which is soon too be three and a great cafe by the fishing lakes. All dog friendly.

Not for those with mobility problems
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Private pitches
Disliked Unwelcoming. Turned up to the noise of an old shower/toilet block being demolished right near & next to the pitches. Description said cafe on/site, what a joke. I have mobility problems, the cafe was a long walk (approximately 8 to 10mins) this also includes a ‘V’ style bridge. No good for people like me. We stayed one night & left. Such an unloved place. No WiFi or signal
