This is a well-regarded, basic campsite praised for its stunning Peak District location, offering direct access to Mam Tor and walking routes, with Castleton village a short walk away. Visitors highlight the breathtaking views, spacious pitches, and the friendly, accommodating owner. Toilets and washing-up facilities are consistently described as very clean and well-maintained. Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The toilets were amazingly clean, and the whole campsite was spotless with some absolutely stunning views. It's around a 10–15 minute walk into town where there are some lovely pubs. I'd definitely recommend taking a torch for the walk back in the evening.
Unfortunately, we decided to cut our trip short due to the disappointing weather, but that certainly wasn't the campsite's fault. We will definitely be back and look forward to visiting again in better weather! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beautiful campsite
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautiful site with amazing views. Pitches mainly flat, toilets kept really clean, washing facilities. Drinking water on site. Perfect place for walks up to mam tor and back ridge and into the village . Honesty boxes filled with basics and treats. Little coffee box cafe on weekends selling hot drinks etc. Katie site owner was really lovely, even told my daughter about the animals (cows calfing) 😂 definitely would recommend and we will be back we enjoyed it so much.
