From the manager: Hi yes
As I explained to you the check out time is 10.30 for 11 we had customer waiting to come on your pitch wanting to have a sleep in when people have paid to camp is no excuse it was not about the money you offed it was about the manner you should to the people that wanted to book onto site at the appropriate time
If you had wanted a late check out you should have informed the office the day before so it could be planned

Beautiful place.
The Kingfisher camping pod
Liked This place is lovely. Such good value for money. The owners were so friendly. The huts had everything we needed. We'd read some previous reviews and can honestly say the planes were not a problem. Yes you hear them but it's not constant.
Disliked Nothing. We can't understand the previous reviews. The place is immaculate. Huts clean and tidy. Not sure what people expect for a £140 2 night away. The place is lovely.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked The relaxed atmosphere and the fishing pools are very well looked after.
The site is spotless and the owners are a lovely couple and so friendly and Sprit the dog is so adorable.
We did read some reviews about the aircraft traffic that flies over this site and yes it is on the flight path to East Midlands airport however East Midlands airport is not a major hub on a busy day not that many fly over so do not let this put you off and we actually enjoyed seeing them.
Pitch 11 facing the forest is just bliss.
Disliked Nothing its definitely worth a visit and we are definitely coming back soon.

The Sparrows camping pod
Liked Stayed as a stopover to go to BTCC at Donington. Was fine for what we needed. Lovely views over the lake. Good facilities.
Disliked Right underneath the flight path from the airport so retry loud. Plus some noise from other caravans during the evening. Very dirty under the beds (trust a 3yo to want to hide under there!)
