- Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
- No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
- The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
- Bookings must not consist of more than 1 different households.
- Group bookings of 2 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
- Group bookings of 6 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
- A cable measuring at least 25 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
- Reception is unmanned after 7 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
- If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
- 20kWh of electricity per day is included (unused kWh roll over). Additional usage is metered onsite at £0.25 per kWh.

Liked The pitch was lovely and clean and the shower blocks and toilets also cleaned regularly. There was always someone available if needed and the additional of the coffee box was lovely
Disliked As the site got busier we were very close to the neighbouring tents but this is to be expected in summer holidays

Liked Liked everything the location is great lots of great places near by we explored Thor's cave, dove dale stepping stones and walked around Hartington from the site which they give you a little map when you arrive it's a nice walk and the scenery is stunning.
The site itself has amazing sunset views. Very well maintained and in almost 20 years of camping the toilet facilities are probably the most cleanest we come across we will definitely be visiting again
Disliked Having to go home 4 nights wasn't long enough for us

A fabulous family & dog friendly site in the heart of the peaks.

Liked Absolutely everything… the location, the peace, the facilities & the wardens. So clean and tidy. Great set up with a seperate field for kids to play in so you could sit peacefully by your van. Loved the bar and the special visits by the fish & chip van. Ponies & Pickle were adorable.
Disliked The only slight crumble was the water temperature in the showers. Sometimes it was great, other times it was okay until someone else turned their shower on and then it would go freezing cold, and other times it would be scorching and unable to stand under it even though turned the temperature right down to cold.
WiFi was also poor and we were only 2 plots away from main shed….wired inconsistently.

Liked The campsite was well kept and the added features of a coffee cabin / bar was a good added touch. Toilets were kept clean daily and the staff were very friendly.
Disliked As we had to pitch the awning on the hard standing and has to use rock pegs for this, the ground wasn't compacted enough underneath for the pegs to do their job properly. The ground had a slope too, which was proven difficult at times, especially when hitching the caravan back up. Also, the showers stopped working (went cold and lost pressure) and despite the site apologizing, it was only temporally fixed a few days later, so limited showers in the heat.

We're sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your pitch and the showers. We appreciate your feedback regarding the pitch; our whole site is on a gentle slope as advertised, and we haven't had feedback about rock pegs not working before - perhaps this is a combination of the pegs you use and the ground being so dry due to the persistently hot weather we've been having. We are always happy to move guests onto an alternative pitch if they don't like the one they've been assigned.
Regarding the showers, we understand how frustrating the disruption must have been, especially during the warm weather. Unfortunately, people weren't reporting issues with the showers to us, so we actually didn't realise we were having problems. As soon as it came to light, we had a technician here to resolve it.
Your comments have been shared with the team as they help us identify areas where we can improve. We hope we'll have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with a much smoother experience next time.
