  • Peaceful, pet-friendly farm stay in the Peak District National Park
  • A 10-minute drive to Buxton and Speedwell Cavern; Bakewell, 20 minutes
  • Village pub 20 minutes' walk; local trails like the Pennine Bridleway
Whether your Peak District plans include investigating caverns, hiking down limestone ravines or eating plenty of Bakewell tarts (or, indeed, all three), Lower Kempshill Farm is a wise base. As a peaceful pet-friendly farm stay, those who set down here can expect star-filled nights when the conditions are right and waking up to the sounds of sheep bleating or horses neighing. Those adventuring with kids will be happy to find an enclosed field. Kids can spy on the animals in the neighbouring fields. Outdoor enthusiasts will be equally pleased, knowing that the 205-mile Pennine Bridleway is a short walk away and there are lots of cycling or walking trails in the surrounding area. As a Peak District National Park site, Lower Kempshill Farm is an excellent place to get out to pretty villages, huge hills or splendid lakes. Sip on local ales at a cosy pub (for just that, the village pub 20 minutes’ stroll away). Pick up a local walking or cycling trail such as the Monsal Trail from the market town of Bakewell (20 minutes’ drive). Tideswell and the spa town of Buxton are both 10 minutes’ drive from the site if you’d like to pick out a bar or restaurant suiting your taste. Chatsworth House is another big attraction close by, well-known for its scenic gardens, walks, adventure playground and petting farm. There are show caves around Castleton (15 minutes) for those seeking another change of scenery.

2 bedroom static caravan

Liked We felt relaxed the moment we arrived. The caravan is spotless, well equipped, comfortable and cosy. The owners made us feel very welcome but did not intrude. A safe enclosed area for our little dog and wifi for grandson were a bonus. This truly is a perfect spot for exploring the beautiful Peak District.
We loved it so much that we have already booked our next stay!

2 bedroom static caravan

Liked Perfect little bolthole, our new go to place to stay in the Peak District - very reasonable priced, beautiful views, private and peaceful. Favourite part was watching the dandelion seeds drift across the neighbouring fields. Owners are lovely.

Disliked Having to come home at the end of our holiday!

Perfect for quiet but active holiday

2 bedroom static caravan

Liked Second time staying here and both times were perfect. Amazing location, close to Buxton shops and all local walks and attractions. The caravan has everything you need and the scenery and peacefulness completes the stay. Communication with the owners is fantastic, you couldn't ask for more. The garden area is also very well enclosed so dogs can run around without fear of them getting loose. Highly recommended and will be back!

2 bedroom static caravan

Liked Location is amazing, beautiful scenery and only 15 minutes from Millers Dale and Soloman's temple which was very enjoyable with breathtaking views.

The best feature is the private garden for my furry friend who loved playing ball.

Will I be returning again? You bet I will.

Disliked Leaving.
