What customers say
This is a well-maintained campsite with generous, level pitches, many with electric and water hook-ups. Guests frequently praise the friendly staff, secure gated access, and the excellent location adjacent to the Grand Union Canal, with a popular pub just a short walk away. Facilities, particularly the individual shower cubicles, are noted as clean and spacious, though some reviews mention they could be updated. Noise from nearby roads and a railway line is a recurring point, with opinions varying on its intrusiveness. Access to the canal towpath sometimes requires crossing lock gates. Late arrivals may need to pre-arrange access.

OK for an overnight stop. Never say never, but would not be top choice
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Well spaced & proportioned level pitches.
Clean well equipped facilities.
Short walk to canal side pub.
Disliked A little pricey, but it did include unmetered electric.
Only 2 toilets and 2 unisex showers with 1 additional disabled facility to share between campsite and canal marina. Facilities are quite remote from campsite which feels like it is an after thought bolt on.
No clear signage into camp site (behind black gates, visible immediately as you turn off the road).
Surprising amount of heavy traffic noise from adjacent B488. Low level noise from railway line that others mentioned.
Yes it was rainy when we stayed, but pot holed muddy gravel roads around the site.

Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked A lovely campsite with plenty of space and clear directions, making arrival stress-free. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful – perfect for a quiet getaway.
Disliked The toilet and shower facilities were suitable, though they would benefit from a deeper clean. Paper towel bins did fill up quite quickly, so more frequent emptying or larger bin would be helpful. We didn’t notice a designated waste water point or clear signage for toilet disposal, so a little extra guidance in this area would improve the experience.

Didnt use facilities. Level pitch but too much road noise.
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Close to pub and canal side setting
Disliked On main field pitch 21 next to entrance vehicles coming and going. We live in very quiet area so disliked road noise - vehicles, trains and aeroplanes. CL sites looked further from road.
