What customers say
Spacious, well-kept site with friendly staff, great canal-side location for walks & pub access. Pitches are large. Road/rail noise is noted but often manageable. Some find facilities dated/need more cleaning. Canal towpath access tricky at lock gates.

Liked Good location next marina a good pub
Disliked Toilet block requires update and could be cleaner. Waste bins overflowing. Several dogs running around freely and fouling on grass. Vehicle movement during night to and from toilet block.

Marina…
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Marina
Disliked Site used by travellers and dogs left to wander around the site. Unable to leave any belongings outside such as shoes which were chewed and taken by the dogs. Dogs mess was not cleaned up.
Vehicles regularly driven across the site between vans to access the toilet even though the main camping field was a short walk away. Despite the staff regularly cleaning the facilities the toilet and shower facilities were left in a mess.

Disliked Sloping pitch, noisy road next to site, a large number of travelling people with feral dogs wandering all over the site.

Liked Everything was fine except.....
Disliked Being given the wrong gate code. Luckily a guy pulled up behind who knew it and two digits I had been given were around the wrong way and....no I didn't write the code down myself. Bit of luck we came back unexpectedly in the afternoon because the time we were expecting to come home was nearer midnight and we would've been well and truly stuffed!
Apparently, according to my helper, the code had recently been changed.

Not a lot…

Liked Not a lot
Disliked Arrived on site, gate not working. Phoned site, told where pitch was. Two hard standings in field, about 12 traveller caravans opposite. Their rubbish, kids, vehicles, and loose dogs.
Did not stay, had refund for balance, still owed for deposit.
Pitchup as a company, when informed were unaware, but helpful. And acted. Should not have been allowed to get this far. Site at fault.

Will be returning to the motorhome pitches. Site is in a lovely spot.

Liked Facilities clean and tidy. Quiet pitch. Staff moved us from grass pitch to a hard standing due to a large group of people.
Disliked Some other campers were not taking control of their dogs who were messing on other pitches. The staff were helpful and did clean up the mess we saw, however both of our children stood in mess that we hadn't seen. All other campers had dogs on leads.

Liked Great communication and instructions for arrival, secure. Spacious and great amenities. Local pub next door for a meal. Has an elan chemical disposal which wasn’t on the description as it is in the Marina section.
Disliked Nothing to dislike

Grote plaats.…
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Grote plaats.
Disliked Niet echt vriendelijke ontvangst; afstandelijk, kortaf.
De vele giga caravans als groep, de honden en rondhangende kinderen in washok.
Erg lawaaiig, door auto's en treinen.
Toch hebben wij ook andere, positievere ervaringen in voorgaande jaren...dus misschien een slecht moment?
