What customers say
This is a peaceful, spacious campsite with generally clean and well-maintained basic facilities including showers and a kitchen area. Many visitors praised the friendly and helpful owners, the quiet atmosphere, and the lovely surrounding walks. Some noted minor issues such as plane noise, inconsistent hot water for washing up, and a need for more female toilets. Despite these minor points, most guests enjoyed their stays and would recommend or return.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked My children wanted an overnight hike with camping. We walked from Tring - 15km - stayed the night and on Sunday walked 5km to Dunstable to catch a bus. This was a great location and we were able to stay for one night.
Site was not crowded, 15mins walk from pub, accessible by footpaths. Decent lavatories etc. A lovely simple and small site - just what we wanted.
Responsive/helpful site manager.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Field spacious, good facilities with fridge and near a good pub. Owner easily available via phone for questions. Nat the zoo and nice towns .
Disliked …. Disliked constant planes overhead from Luton airport and around +100 scouts who were also camped (and apparently promised exclusive use of the field) it would have been better if owner had kept the field just for them as promised.

Lovely campsite, great location, good facilities but can be noisy
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely spacious field close to Dunstable downs. Clean loose, decent showers, indoor kitchen area with one sink for washing up, fridge and freezer. Plenty of places to pitch up so didn’t feel crowded. Nice that car park is separate.
Disliked Didn’t seem to be a noise curfew so people were playing drum n bass until gone 1am. There’s a path at the back of the campsite so can be noise from people coming along the path.

From the manager: Thank you so much for leaving us your feedback, glad that you had a good stay with us, with regards to the noise we do have campsite rules on music but especially causing a nuisance to neighbouring campers we will certainly look at policing this more in future.
