What customers say
A peaceful, roomy site with neat facilities & great views. Owners are super helpful. Close to pubs & walks. Bell tents a hit! Plane noise & some camper noise noted, plus a bit of sign confusion initially.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The area was quiet and is right beside a small forest. The pitch offer a good bathroom and showers. The water was warm(just right) and clean. Ian welcomed us with his small cute dog and his golf cart. Overall experience was superb, will definitely come back!
Disliked Most of the ground was uneven but nonetheless it was not really a big deal to us.

Disliked Noise. Being under a flight path was not an issue with good ear plugs, but the music was too much. There were several noisy campers (playing music, shouting, vomiting outside due to drink) at different pitches across the site on both nights we stayed. Not the site's fault, but no support with asking people to quiet down after a certain time despite us texting.
One suggestion is to ask people who are there to party to camp at one end of the field and those who need a quieter night to go to the other end. The field is big enough that everyone can enjoy they experience they want with a bit of planning.
There is a rule about parking away from the tents which is fine for safety reasons, but again it was not enforced.

From the manager: Hi Jade, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, sorry to hear that you had some noisy neighbours, we do ask campers to respect their neighbours but unfortunately but rarely we do get some issues. We will take on your advice for a quiet area on the site as we do have plenty of room, hopefully we will see you guys again soon.
At Best 3 stars, two is more apt due to the flight path.
Electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked The campsite is reasonable but basic. The toilet, shower and kitchen block is fine, it has a vending machine which was very reasonably priced, a pleasant surprise.
Disliked Unfortunately it is on the approach flight path to Luton so planes arriving minutes apart all day till approximately 1.30am and then starting back at 5.30am.
It doesn't make for a good night's sleep.
So beware if planning to stay.

From the manager: Hi Donald, thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback, glad you like some aspects of the site and yes we are in the Luton flight path but this does change depending on the wind direction so is not always the case, hope to see you again.

Liked Very friendly host with his little dog FlipFlop. Nice flat field to pitch up. Lots of walks and pubs nearby. Quiet.
Disliked Only 3 toilets and 1 shower to accommodate 30 tents. They are clean but over subscribed.

From the manager: Hi Helen, thanks for the feedback and the lovely comments, we will aim to have more toilets, we do have two showers but maybe we need to signpost these as others have also commented on just one shower but honestly we do have two! :) hope to see you again soon.
Nice, out-of-the-way site that still has easy access to M1
