  • Quiet site minutes away from Zaragoza city centre
  • Between the ports of Santander/Bilbao and Costa Brava beaches
  • Pools, playground, restaurant, café and sports areas
Combine Spanish city and Spanish seaside at Aragon's Camping Ciudad de Zaragoza, only four kilometres from the bar and food culture of the splendid old city of Zaragoza and halfway between both the ports of Santander and Bilbao and the beaches of Costa Brava. Although it's in an eminently central location to everything you could fancy in the Zaragoza province, Ciudad de Zaragoza is a quiet site and set up for those who want to explore the region but have a peaceful base to come tiredly back to of an evening. It has an eminently excellent playground for kids, swimming and paddling pools, a communal barbecue area and a multisports area for Spanish racket game pelota, tennis, football and basketball. Local meals are dished up at the site restaurant, and there's also a café and a shop. The modern amenities include loo blocks with good facilities for disabled visitors, showers, changing rooms, toilets, sinks and washing machines. Camping Ciudad de Zaragoza has free wifi throughout.

What customers say

This is a well-located municipal site, ideal for visiting Zaragoza via public transport. Pitches are generally spacious and well-equipped. Facilities, including a pool and restaurant, are appreciated by visitors, with staff frequently described as friendly and helpful. However, some guests have noted that shower cubicles are small and lack privacy, and the site generally could benefit from some updating and improved cleanliness in certain areas, particularly regarding waste disposal and pitch maintenance.

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Facilities are good, nice swimming pool, pitch was nice size, electric hook up close and water available.
Online booking was easy, paid upfront, filled in all details passport that were requested. etc

Disliked Check in at reception was supposed to be easy, no it wasn't. Got there at 3.30pm van que was quite small parked at pull in space. Que of people outside reception with loads of people milling arround. Took 30 mins to get to the desk, then to be told you need to show your passport, no mention of this in the confirmation email I received. Went back to my van massif que of vans now blocking me in, qued again another 15 mins to get to reception desk to show passport and checked in. Was given a pitch number. Then had to wait while all the vans had cleared blocking me in. Got to my pitch there was already someone on it, back to reception allocated another pitch. Got on the pitch 1 hour 45mins after ariving what a shambles. Also the girl on reception was turning people away that had arrived with no reservation saying they were full, no they were not full, but just could not be bothered.

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch

Respectueusement

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Lovely site in itself, with excellent facilities overall. The pitch sizes were very good, with access to toilets and showers good too. We particularly liked the café-bar area, near the pool, a lovely open aspect. Excellent bus service into the city is a real bonus, especially as the walk in would have been a bit too much!

Disliked Due to the design of the pitches, some were overlooking others quite significantly - plant a few more bushes please, to provide a bit of extra privacy! We were surprised that only one of the service areas had full services, i.e., with dish washing facilities included, as meant a bit of a walk to reach these. We also felt that the placement of the showerheads, with no flexibility of movement, meant that one was almost leaning against the wall to get the water! These features were a bit surprising and annoying, but would not stop us coming again.

Local attractions

Zaragoza is a splendidly scenic and cultural Spanish city, famed in particular for its UNESCO World Heritage Site buildings such as the Basílica del Pilar, La Seo Cathedral and the Aljafería Palace, its food, its folklore and the Fiestas del Pilar, running for nine days every October and dating back to the fifteenth century. Another much-visited option in the city is the site of Expo 2008, now the site of the Luis Buñuel Metropolitan Water Park, with water gardens, river beach, golf course, leisure centres, cable car, wildwater chute for rafting and kayaking, a spa and an adventure park. The very famed moorish castle Aljafería Palace is a short distance from Zaragoza's old city centre, near Zaragoza-Delicias station.
