General

  • Quiet site minutes away from Zaragoza city centre
  • Between the ports of Santander/Bilbao and Costa Brava beaches
  • Pools, playground, restaurant, café and sports areas

Combine Spanish city and Spanish seaside at Aragon's Camping Ciudad de Zaragoza, only four kilometres from the bar and food culture of the splendid old city of Zaragoza and halfway between both the ports of Santander and Bilbao and the beaches of Costa Brava.

Although it's in an eminently central location to everything you could fancy in the Zaragoza province, Ciudad de Zaragoza is a quiet site and set up for those who want to explore the region but have a peaceful base to come tiredly back to of an evening.

It has an eminently excellent playground for kids, swimming and paddling pools, a communal barbecue area and a multisports area for Spanish racket game pelota, tennis, football and basketball. Local meals are dished up at the site restaurant, and there's also a café and a shop.

The modern amenities include loo blocks with good facilities for disabled visitors, showers, changing rooms, toilets, sinks and washing machines. Camping Ciudad de Zaragoza has free wifi throughout.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

position - half way between ferry port and destination

    Disliked:

Poor, small grubby pitches, the site is a dump and the water was cold in the bathrooms. Advice to leave the water running off season tricky as ridiculous 5 second buttons are on taps and showers. Even if you brave the cold shower the lights will go out while you are in there. Its a joke, relying on its position half way to somewhere better. Surely, nobody actually holidays here, do they? Incidentally, wifi could not be picked-up, on pitch.

    Friendly Staff. Plenty of room.

    Disliked:

This doesn’t feel like a campsite and it’s overpriced, we realised on leaving we should of driven a little further and had our stopover at a Repsol where it’s just as safe and is free. I don’t know how the Council justify charging 18e a night, it’s all rather shabby and dirty and needs a lot of money invested in it. More fool us for staying and paying, not again though. There were a lot of Motorhomes parked for the night on the way for the Ferry home, save yourself the money and park overnight in the Port.

Reception friendly and efficient. Good size pitch for our 8m van and site was easy to navigate although care is needed at entrance.
Contrary to other reviews we found pitch to be tidy and toilets/showers to be heated, very clean with adequate provisions.
Will use again for an overnight stop on the way to the coast.

Coming back from Spain. This was an ideal stop over to get the ferry from Bilbao (4hours away)
It was just minutes to the site off motorway and easy return to it.
Pubs and bars just 3 minutes away walking
Shower room very warm and showers good but in need of refurb.
Excellent stop over or great place to visit Zaragoza.
    Felt safe
    Clean.

    Disliked:

Easy to find and friendly check in. Toilet roll provided.

    Disliked:

Absolutely nothing open for winter season. Cafe/bar/shop etc all closed. Should be a cheaper rate for out of season or should say on site no facilities. Felt like it was all shut down and staying there was a bit of a nuisance. Toilets and showers pitch black on walk up and looked like they had been left for winter. Hand dryers broken.

Local attractions

Zaragoza is a splendidly scenic and cultural Spanish city, famed in particular for its UNESCO World Heritage Site buildings such as the Basílica del Pilar, La Seo Cathedral and the Aljafería Palace, its food, its folklore and the Fiestas del Pilar, running for nine days every October and dating back to the fifteenth century.

Another much-visited option in the city is the site of Expo 2008, now the site of the Luis Buñuel Metropolitan Water Park, with water gardens, river beach, golf course, leisure centres, cable car, wildwater chute for rafting and kayaking, a spa and an adventure park.

The very famed moorish castle Aljafería Palace is a short distance from Zaragoza's old city centre, near Zaragoza-Delicias station.
