Combine Spanish city and Spanish seaside at Aragon's Camping Ciudad de Zaragoza, only four kilometres from the bar and food culture of the splendid old city of Zaragoza and halfway between both the ports of Santander and Bilbao and the beaches of Costa Brava. Although it's in an eminently central location to everything you could fancy in the Zaragoza province, Ciudad de Zaragoza is a quiet site and set up for those who want to explore the region but have a peaceful base to come tiredly back to of an evening. It has an eminently excellent playground for kids, swimming and paddling pools, a communal barbecue area and a multisports area for Spanish racket game pelota, tennis, football and basketball. Local meals are dished up at the site restaurant, and there's also a café and a shop. The modern amenities include loo blocks with good facilities for disabled visitors, showers, changing rooms, toilets, sinks and washing machines. Camping Ciudad de Zaragoza has free wifi throughout.

Liked Spacious pitches, great having water and electric on pitch. Ideal stopover when heading to and from the ferry ports. Just off motorway.

Disliked No WiFi on pitches. Too far to walk to where free WiFi is in pouring rain.

Liked Our 2nd visit here. Last time we got a taxi into the city but this time we got the bus, which was just a stroll across the road. City definitely worth the visit - we went to the Palacio Aljafeira - but beware we missed out on tickets last year so booked ahead this year. Friendly welcome and a good sized pitch.

Disliked As last time, the chemical toilet near the exit was a bit grim. Should be cleaned more frequently. However, our main gripe this time is we paid €17 to do two loads of washing and one of tumble drying. The dryer only half- dried the load despite being on the highest setting and many items of our clothing came out with brown rust-like spots that weren't there before. It was the evening before we left, so we didn't get a chance to mention this. We used the first two washing machines just inside the door. No WiFi outside public areas

Liked Decent pitch size, site is in a great location, restaurant/bar area is nice

Disliked Shower facilities lack privacy and need an upgrade, site is scruffy and needs better facilities for rubbish and grey/black waste disposal.

Liked Have used this site as an overnight stop to and from Ferry several times but this time took a couple of days to see Zaragoza, checked in by an extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly young man who gave us invaluable advice on what and what not to see in Zaragoza, very good supermarket 15 minute walk away, also bus to city centre €1.70 each way 10 minutes away, large pitches with water and electricity, easy access to/from motorway and quite a reasonable price, what's not to like.

Disliked Not overly fond of the communal dressing area in the shower block
