Liked Hidden gem.. In a world of expensive pitches this has to be the best value bar none!! Where else in Scarborough can you stay 3 nights with electric for less than £70?? The site is a working stables, we looked out onto the field watching the horses roam free. Was lovely to hear them in this very peaceful site The site was well kept, very lush considering all the heatwaves. The amenities were more than adequate, well stocked and cleaned regularly. The owner was lovely and after a quick meet & greet we were left to choose our own pitch and go about our weekend. Very good location, £10 in an uber into town, alternatively there is a bus stop 15 mins walk away were there is also a couple of nice pubs, fish shop and a decent little mini supermarket in the nearby village. There are what looks like resident caravans on site,.some vacant but some used and can say all the campers were all very friendly. Definitely on the return list. Lovely site to end our camping year..

Liked The family friendly atmosphere, the entertainment and Amazing staff. We had a great time, from checking in to leaving everything was fantastic. The staff couldn't do enough, the entertainment, quizzes, singers, bingo, food and drink were all spot on. Not even the rain could spoil it for us.. All amenities cleaned and restocked, everything you need from a campsite and more.. Looking like new buildings going up so can't wait to see what it will be like in 12 months. WILL BE BACK!!

Disliked Hmm. The rain but thats not the campsites problem and they showers were a tight squeeze but we managed lol.

Liked Just back home after a 2 night stay at kingsmoor retreat.. After arriving quite late were met by the owner who gladly checked us, secured payment and kindly walked us down to our pitch. He explained everything to us perfectly which sadly included no bbq or firepit as we all received a government warning on our phones for fires in the area.. Regardless, we still managed to have a great stay. We had everything we needed, flat pitch, friendly neighbours, showers, slightly run down but perfectly hot. Well stocked toilets, and a facility for washing pots, although we did struggle as when washing at night there was no light, maybe something to look at for the owner.. The pub at the end of the site was perfect, lovely garden to sit out while enjoying the sun. All in all, a good value site which ticked all our boxes, we will return as being a 30 min drive is just far enough to us to consider it a break.

Liked Fantastic 2 night stay at riddings, checked in to be greeted by a lovely lady, we had been allocated a pitch which was in very busy part of the park but she gave us an alternative pitch in a much quieter part of the park which we duly took.. although most pitches are on a hill it wasn't too much a problem, nothing a piece of cardboard wouldn't sort. Facilities were spot on, clean and functional. Slushes in reception were a godsend in the heat and so nice not to have to cook with catering trucks popping up both Friday and Saturday night.. Few games for the girls to play up by reception which kept them busy and a lovely park although my girls are a little bit too old for it.. No WiFi but good phone signal, hotpot worked perfectly for movie night 👌 Would definitely stay again, nice location, have a walk in the woods and visit the only thatched roof pub in Derbyshire.. 👍

Disliked Sloping pitches in the EHU part of the park, although we managed. No WiFi, not a dislike but something people should be made aware off..
