Skegness, Lincolnshire, England
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Play area for kids was alright, pub, shop
Disliked There are road works at the moment add struggled to get to the site until we rang the site asking how to get there.
They told us they had informed pitchup who told them they would let everyone know who was going but failed to inform us.
So be aware if you are going in November.
The Toilet and Showers are a disgrace!.
The showers are nice and warm but you have to keep pressing button and they go off and back on even when not in use.
There is a sign in the hand wash area saying please leave as you would like to find. What a joke, its full of damp and mould.
There are extractors but they don't work.
You can see where the cleaners have tried to mop the ceiling to clean some of it away. See attached pictures.
Shame I can't offer a scratch and sniff cos the smell is terrible.
No hand sanitiser in the wash area either.
People who say they are lovely and clean or spotless well all i can say is their standards are low.
I will NEVER go there again.....

Ludlow, Shropshire, England
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The walks around the orchards,
Toilets and showers were spotless although a curtain divider would be great as the floor where you dry off gets soaked from shower.plus doors & windows need shutting in cooler months at earlier times.
Disliked Wifi is terrible i had read previous reviews where they stated in 2019 they were going to upgrade. This is October 2020 still not done.
Didn't understand the little amount of gravel about a foot next to the hardstanding part?
When we put the awning up it was then on the gravel and grass which made the floor uneven with the wooden partition.
Children's play area only really for small children.
To be honest there is not much children can do except walk around as it states no bikes allowed. Would be better if adult only!

From the manager: Thank you for leaving your review . Our WI FI upgrade was started this year in Feb /March this was then held up due to the first lock down , we had new equipment installed more lines and faster speed . It is not suitable for streaming but it should be accessible all the time however we are aware this is not always the case we find sometimes it is good and sometimes not, we are trying to improve this. (One of the draw backs of being in the middle of the countryside ) We do not charge for the W I FI and would hope to keep this as a free service . Normally the shower cubicles have shower curtains and they are heated , as we all know this year has been far from normal . We followed guidance both from the government and the British Holiday & Parks Association. By removing the curtains and keeping the doors and windows open to allow air to circulate. With the doors being open there was no benefit in putting heating on . We accept this may have caused some inconvenience but for this year our priority was to keep everybody safe , hopefully next year the curtains will be back and the heating on All our pitches are hardstanding some have a meter gravel path and then grass and some have wider gravel and less grass. The reason for the path is so that people who are not using an awning can have have access to their door without having to walk on the grass. Both pitch types are suitable for awnings and we will lend extra rock pegs if required if the awning is not being used on the grass . Our Children's play area is suitable for children up to the age of 12 it is not huge but we find perfectly adequate for the children to enjoy . We also have a football pitch where any sort of ball game can be enjoyed by the family . Again in normal times in the summer months we also put out table tennis and Badminton and a basket ball hoop (with racquets bats and balls etc ) ) You are correct in saying we do not allow cycling around he park . The children's safety is vey important to us , we have lots of corners with high hedges so it is not safe for the children ( as per replies on previous reviews) There is a lovely walk from the site along the river and through the fields . We do not have any plans to become an adult only site ( but thank you for your suggestion) We enjoy welcoming our families and hearing and seeing the children play!
