Liked Massive site in nice surroundings Very peaceful and dark Clean toilet area close to the pitch Dishwashing sink with very hot water close to the pitches

Disliked There is only currently one electricity box for about 5 hook ups so potentially vehicles could end up very close to each other depending on length of your own cable. We were luckily only one of two vans using the hook up so we could park far enough away to give each other privacy.

Liked Great welcome from reception on arrival Lovely quiet scenic site with well laid out private hook ups Friendly owners on the boats in the marina Lovely walk along the canal to the local pub which was very friendly

Liked Quiet despite being fairly near a main road. Good choice of flat hard standing even though the site was busy. Picnic bench right next to my pitch which was handy. Toilets were clean and everything worked. Friendly bunch of fellow campers. Rules respected by everyone. Close to the village.

Disliked Not really sure it was the sites fault but a young couple decided to pitch their tent about 50cm from my van (etiquette says you should try and leave 6 metres!!). They were so close, to the point that the female actually came to speak to me and say “you’d best be careful when you open your door so that you don’t trip on my peg and rope”. I hadn’t realised they were pitching so close until then, otherwise I’d have asked them to move. As it was, I couldn’t be bothered to get them to take their tent down and have them bash the pegs in again as it was getting late.

Liked Loved how welcome we were made to feel as soon as we walked into the pub to confirm and pay for our booking. Very impressed with how clean the facilities were and how peaceful the whole area was. The food was delicious (I had duck, the wife had what she described as “the best fish she’s ever tasted”)
