Electric grass pitch
Liked Quiet campsite, felt secure and very green, lots of trees. Walking distance to Wainfleet including railway station and bus stop. Friendly owner. Washing up liquid in the wash-up station. Clean toilets. Plenty of loo roll!
Disliked The hand basins were a bit grubby on the day of arrival and no hand soap. Fixed the next day when the cleaner arrived.

Much Wenlock, Shropshire, England
Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked The setting is beautiful and it's good to be able to walk into Much Wenlock along the lane in about 15 mins. It's very peaceful. The toilet and shower block is warm and clean. Also feels very secure with the electric gate.
Disliked The bins were overflowing on both occasions so we had to take our rubbish home with us (not a huge problem). The hot water for washing up is lukewarm and there is only one fresh water tap on site. There's no cold water in the bathrooms. It would not put us off coming again though.

Herstmonceux, East Sussex, England
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked The surroundings - lovely trees, very peaceful. The pub - great drinks, good food and lovely service. Clean showers and toilets. We could have stayed much longer and will come back.
Disliked There was a little road noise, but nothing the pub can do about that. The bins weren't emptied every day so was almost overflowing. I am nitpicking now!

Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Easy to find, just south of Bridgnorth. Nice walk from the site across fields (no cows) to Eardington. Great to have the pub on site, lovely open fire in there and good beers. Very quiet. Water tap and power right next to each pitch. Shower block was warm and clean. Plenty of hot water at the outdoor wash up point. Instructions for pitch number and access came through on email the day before visiting.
Disliked It was quite expensive for a relatively basic site - £40/night. This is more expensive than CAMC sites with better facilities. But I would still go back as I enjoyed the setting.

From the manager: Thank you for your detailed and honest review, Laura. We’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed the peaceful setting, the walks around the local area, and the convenience of having the pub on site — especially the open fire and good beers! It’s also great to know you found the facilities clean, warm, and easy to use, and that everything from arrival instructions to pitch setup was straightforward. We do appreciate your feedback regarding pricing. We always aim to offer a well-maintained, clean and convenient site alongside a welcoming pub experience, and we’re glad this still made your stay enjoyable overall. It’s lovely to hear that despite your comments on price, you would return and recommend us to others — that really means a lot. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another relaxing stay. Liked Peace and quiet, lovely views, clean toilets, 1 mile walk into Castleton, honesty box with chocolate and water and other nice things. Came away feeling very rested.
Disliked Remember there is no drinking water on site - but there are bottles of water in the honesty box if you forget your drinking water

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely views, friendly welcome, felt very safe. Water tap and compost toilet nearby. Easy walk into Kniveton with the dogs.
Disliked I wish I had been told the Lammas festival was on when I booked. Although it was no problem to me as such, the constant noise was a bit disappointing as I had looked forward to a very quiet weekend away. I would have chosen a different weekend to stay.
