Liked Location in forest trees. Altitude. Walk down to Bronchales village for a few beers… And small market the next day. Walk up to 1850m with spectacular views..

Liked Location, fantastic scenery and right by the river and beautiful villages.. Quiet site.. lovely restaurant and bar. Shop was amazing too very well stocked and fresh baguette in the morning.. Friendly owner and staff…

Disliked Shower/toilet blocks could do with an update… luckily i was staying off season but id imagine there could be a wait if its busy…

We do go out of our way to make guests feel as relaxed and as comfortable as possible, thank you for your kind comments. Regarding our shower/toilet block "aging gracefully" like one guest kindly commented, as we all like to think we are, has it's upgrade/make-over at the end of each year. New showers, taps and lippy etc... are already in storage waiting for Dec/Jan. Throughout the year it does have it's fare share of visitors and it's done us very proud over the last ten years we have been here, it's especially a poke in the eye when people - "who said it would never work" have had to watch us grow VERY successfully more and more each year to their embarrassing chagrin. It's been very much like Marmite, love it or hate it, it works somehow and its quirkiness has become popular and loved, in particular the self contained cubicles where you are simply left alone to do your own thing, no shuffling like miserable cattle from one stall to the next trying to start your day - You're simply in and out and ready to go, ready to roam this beautiful land. Your concern regarding when we're busy it may cause a wait? Very occasionally, yes, when everyone decides to shower at the same time, but having a little patience and remembering this is camping and not an en-suite room at the Ritz helps with perspective. Plus great news we no longer allow a busy campsite, we prefer a quieter life. We rarely take non-reservations now, so everyone be warned, lol. I notice your headline for your review is you suggest people to bring a bike, yes, we are roughly 30 minutes (depending on how fast you drive, this is France!) from the city - hoorah! Our camping is very quiet and peaceful. Cycling is hugely popular here, with thousands of return guests every year, enjoying the endless cycle routes flat and a little more testing for the more ambitious/masochistic! Research beforehand is always key to visiting places where ever you holiday - it simply makes the experience better. It's all one big adventure!

Liked Good location for beach and seeing Cambrils…

Disliked Unfortunately my shower was cold in the block next to reception, i have been to many places in Spain and France and this was the first time I’ve had a cold shower.. disappointed.. Also there seemed to be a lot of general items which people had discarded on the ground on the pitches.. clothing, a towel, and even a pair of men’s pants!! It seemed like id come at the end of a busy season and they had run out of steam to keep the place nice… Also i went for a swim at the pool and found it closing at 5pm!! A bit early.. i think. I was camped next to some very nice Dutch people and i found the site quiet at night. The pitches were tight to get onto but they were well shaded with small trees.

Liked Great pitch on no through area.. so no passing traffic or vans. Very shady if hot… Water standpipe Nextdoor. Toilet block a short walk away but up the hill.. not a good site for those that don’t like walking or have mobility problems! Shower block was best I’ve ever seen and water has piping hot…

Liked Shady trees, friendly welcome and helpful lady. Clean facilities and perfect for our short stay. A nice 40 minute drive unless walk to lovely pub through the woods and quiet lanes…

Disliked Slightly too close to our neighbours but they were both very friendly…
