Liked Well kept, beautiful site in a fantastic setting. Not at all 'commercial ', so it's suited to those who like to escape their hectic lives. We loved being walking through the gield around the farm animals. The owners were very welcoming and helpful when needed. The shower facilities, although limited to only one at present, were clean and tidy, and sufficient for the needs of the number of pitches.

Disliked The only issue for me personally was the main A7 road accessing the site. The road noise was not too noticeable, and limited to normal working hours but as a regular cyclist I didn't feel safe cycling alongside Hgvs for even the relatively short distance to find some quieter minor roads.

Liked Very well designed site which has clearly been given a lot of thought in making the best of this beautiful peaceful location. Lovely walks around the fishing lakes with a delightful array of artistically decorated notices and thoughts. Even dogs are well catered for with a well planned secure walking area off-lead through woods. Also lots of various water fowl to observe too.

Disliked Nothing really. I suppose I should mention the goods train line running to rear of the sight with occasional passing trains from early morning, but they were short-lived and not a real problem

Liked The staff were very welcoming and helpful right from the moment we arrived. We had a problem connecting our hose to a tap to fill our tank because we'd forgotten a connector. A staff member came to our rescue. The location and site was perfect for us, with everything we needed, but in a peaceful setting. The site is the just the right size for us, in that it's small enough not to detract from its beautiful peaceful setting, yet provided all the necessary facilities for a relaxing break. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and well maintained with plenty of free hot water. The pub attached to the site was spot on, again with welcoming staff and great quality food. Prices slightly higher than average pub food prices, but the food matched the price. A great selection of music too !

Disliked Nothing. This is definitely on our list of sites to revisit. Just one minor suggestion by way of improvement. The shower cubicles would benefit from a small stool to make changing and drying easier, and to place dry clothing etc.
