What customers say
The campsite offers stunning countryside views, a welcoming atmosphere and a popular on-site pub serving good food. Many guests praise the friendly staff, clean facilities and convenient location for local walks, with Masham a short distance away. However, some reviews mention that pitches can be uneven or sloping, and the toilet and shower blocks are described by some as dated and in need of refurbishment, with occasional issues regarding cleanliness and capacity during busy periods.

Liked Location is spot on. Site is very clean and tidy.
Disliked Toilets /showers need updating. Need to book pub /bar before getting there on a weekend to avoid disappointment. Quite busy and not quiet after hours.

Owners seemed lovely though
Disliked Being on a hill you will need to chock your wheels.
We were underneath a tree which had a wasp nest in and given the time of year they were dropping out the tree on our caravan and our awning was full.
Toilets were clean-ish though full of spiders and webs.
Shower water goes off when someone uses a tap in the ladies so was not a pleasant experience.

Liked Was lovely view
Disliked The toilet facilities looked like they haven’t been cleaned in years.
We also emailed the site a week in advance saying we was coming with friends and would like pitches next to each other they said they would accommodate this and when we got there they didn’t.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked The site is situated behind the Black Swan pub and the pitches are on a steepish gradient down a valley. Some attempt has been made to level all the pitches but is not perfect and if you like level you will need leveling blocks. All pitches have electric hook ups. The scenery all around is spectacular. The toilets are basic but clean. Only two toilets for males four in the ladies. At the time there were only 3 camper vans on site but If the site was busy????. There are some walks from the bottom of the site to but no information was provided.
Disliked Its a scenic site, but for what it was it was expensive and I would probably avoid it in the busy part of the season due to those toilet facilities.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Quiet, lovely location, nice space in between caravans and pub food was delicious. Clean toilets.
Disliked We were put right towards the bottom, and it can be a struggle walking up, especially first thing in the morning when you’re half asleep. The pub music was pretty loud on Saturday night. Wasn’t told much information and wasn’t provided the info about the takeaway or WiFi password was not provided
