Leven, Fife, Scotland
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Toilet/ shower facilities were modern.
Shower curtain was replaced while there - was pretty grim on arrival.
Location is great - easy walk into Leven. Can catch the train to Edinburgh.
Pretty location - lots of trees, can see the sea across the golf course.
There was a cat - very cute.
Disliked Toilets often ran out of toilet paper.
Toilets/ showers got quite muddy - no cleaning supplies. Could do with door mats outside?
Only 3 toilet/ showers for the site.
Unmanned so rules not enforced - Some very noisy campers the last night - large groups, not keeping to quiet hours, cars parked by tents being run to charge things which was noisy and smelly.
Building works were pretty noisy, especially in the morning.

We're sorry that aspects of your stay didn't meet your expectations. Your comments regarding the toilet supplies, cleanliness, noise from other guests and the ongoing construction works are all appreciated and have been taken on board. We continue to review these areas and make improvements where we can, particularly during busy periods. We hope you'll consider visiting us again in the future once the construction work has been completed, so you can experience Silverburn Park at its best.

Liked The campsite was beautiful with lovely views and well cared for grounds. The host came to greet us and was friendly with lovely dogs! The showers/ toilets were clean and in good working order. Great location with a lovely village shop down the road.
Disliked More toilets/ showers - toilets and showers are combined and only 2 female and 2 male. Was not a problem for us as we were there on a quiet monday night but could cause queues during busier times!

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked It was cheap. The toilets were a little dated but clean and worked well. The owner was very friendly on check in and was quick to deal with any issues. Great location, pub and Thomas shop on the door stop. Short drive to Llandrindod Wells and Elan Valley.
Disliked Only one shower in the block and it was very weak. Also lots of bugs as the windows and door were left over. Could be solved with some bug screens and door closed?

From the manager: Hi, thank you for your review. We are working on adding more showers, we are sure you can understand these things do not happen over night (we only took over in April). We do shut the windows and doors, but visitors keep opening them, but we will consider bug screens as that would save an lot of work. Our toilets and panels are older, but not damaged or untidy and it does not fit with our sustainability goals to change them for the sake of it. We hope you had a nice trip and safe journey home.
