Liked Friendly owner. Didn't mind us arriving a bit late. Great scenery. Bus stops right outside the site. Clean toilet X2. Working farm so nearby chickens, dogs, sheep cows. Good price for Lake District hard standing with electric.

Disliked Not for you if you don't like the sounds of the countryside sheep, dogs etc. £1 shower steep for 5 mins not very hot.

Liked Big field with units well spaced out as they liked. Great views over the hills. Friendly welcome. Super clean toilets and showers. Shower hot. Great spot for a quiet weekend.

Liked Booked. Sign says if you have booked just find a pitch. Nice and easy. Nice toilets. Good pitches nicely spaced out. Good Wifi. Didn't speak to the owners, but that suits me. Great stay, thanks.

Liked Good friendly communications. Spacious level pitch. Spotless toilets and showers. Plenty of footpaths and bridleways nearby. Dogs on leads policy. Good price.

Disliked No hot water for washing up. Grass a bit long on the actual pitches. Got approached by another camper's scary dog not under control and barked at, so on-lead rule not followed. Shower OK but not very hot.

Liked Great free showers. Clean toilet block. Free WiFi. Good price. Only tourer on the site, so quiet. Friendly hotel staff (site is back field of hotel)

Disliked Mosquitos and horseflies. Got bitten Many times over the 3 nights. Had to sleep fully covered, could have done with a mosquito net. This was the only downside, but means I would never stay there again.

Disliked 1euro for showers. Site was mainly permanent caravans, some quite historic. Site staff helpful, but not very friendly

In fact they are - but some of my colleagues are not used to talk in english ;-). So it was not "unfriendly" it was just "we cannot communicate very well". Best regards Michael

Liked Free 10/10 showers. Friendly staff. Spacious pitch. Swimming in the river. Ping pong. Clean toilets.

Disliked Would prefer not to give over passport/ID for length of stay. Other places don't need to. I would be happy paying balance on arrival. Does not take card payments. No WiFi
