Electric optional grass pitch
Liked This site is nestled in the most beautiful woodland. It is peaceful, beautifully maintained and the facilities are plentiful and spotless. The community clearly take a pride in their club. They also are exceptionally welcoming, making this the friendliest site I’ve ever stayed on. The evening entertainment in the clubhouse was a bonus. Also we didn’t expect the pool to be heated so that was a lovely surprise! We had a lot of choice of where we could pitch, all well drained and level.
Disliked There wasn’t a single thing to dislike, other than going home!

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked A very small site, but with all the essentials (a loo, water and EHU). Very tranquil, beautiful views, exceptionally welcoming owner. A truly laid back vibe.
Disliked The pitches are all on a hill and some of them get rather muddy - take mats to make leaving easier if you’re not going mid-drought.

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Peaceful, exceptionally spacious, well laid out, good facilities. We loved the chickens wandering free, the table tennis table in the shelter, and the very modern and clean bathroom facilities with a “glamping” level vibe. The vast football pitch and playground for kids was also a win! There is mini golf on site for a small additional fee.
Disliked Being in the middle of an activity site. There is an adventure course on one side of you, which I can imagine gets noisy. Archery on the other side. It was all peaceful when we were there, but ruined the view a little and worried us for return visits in times like the summer holidays. That said, it is ideal for families looking for those additional paid things as entertainment, and our stay wasn’t at all disrupted by them. It is a very spacious and very well equipped site.

From the manager: Thanks for the review - Guests are very welcome to request a pitch in a quieter area.

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked EHU and hard standing at a good price.
Disliked The facilities were tired, not very clean, basic, uninviting. The noise from the car racing is intrusive and goes on until late at night (not their fault but not ideal!) There is very little green space on site, it is all a bit of a caravan park eyesore, just not the sort of site we like to visit. Definitely had people drinking and getting rowdy more than the places we usually stay. Didn’t feel entirely safe.

From the manager: Thank you for your review , I’m truly sorry you didn’t feel safe on the site . It’s not a comment I’ve ever had before. You were here for only one night on a bank holiday Sunday. Bank holiday weekends are generally busier than other times. However no other noise complaints were received and the site is never rowdy.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. The pond and sauna absolutely make this site, but we also loved the clean and spacious facilities, table tennis table, peaceful setting, and beautiful walks on offer from the site.
Disliked The campervan pitches do feel an “afterthought”, they’re both small and opposite the toilet/shower block, on the main road into the site. Cars come and go at all times to holiday lets (no curfew as separate to camping) and the campsite carpark is also next to the van pitches. It was a noisy night and morning car wise, which was a shame on such an idyllic site. If you take this into account, DO NOT let it put you off visiting. The warm welcome, great facilities and glorious pond make up for this disturbed night entirely.
