Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Nice quiet spot in a lovely little village, ideal for stop over if heading North or South. Great pub next door but only open Fri Sat Sun. Good loos/showers but across road behind pub.
Disliked The site didn't quite live up to expectations, the photos on Pitch Up were obviously quite old as now looking a little tired, hedges overgrown weeds on pitches etc most of the pitches seemed to be taken by people living on site.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked We love Back of Beyond because of the enclosed woodland area which is perfect for letting our dog off lead. A great bar and the BoB team are all super friendly. Secure Adult only site, perfect for a relaxing break.
Disliked Not much within walking distance.
No TV signal, Phone and Data signal poor but the site has free WiFi which we found OK for streaming TV.

From the manager: Thank you for the review Jeff. There are 3 walks you can do from the park, and we have flyers in reception to give you with them. We are just having fibre optic fitted so that will improve the wifi greatly. Many thanks

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Fantastic view, great for walking and exploring the area. Toilet Shower facilities very good and clean.
Disliked Owners dogs running free around site and across our pitch which meant our dog was on edge. One had a shit on the grass next to our pitch and cocked his leg on the wood marking the pitches.

From the manager: Thanks Jeff for leaving a review and good to hear you found the site to be of a high standard. I am sorry to learn that our dogs came on to the touring site and upset you. Our dogs are all working dogs or retired dogs that are well socialised and used to being around other dogs and people that are of no threat to you or your dog. Our dogs are not left to roam the site but when taken out for a walk may run around to the touring site to investigate barking dogs. I am sorry that you as a dog owner find this offensive because we try very hard to give our dogs a good life as well as giving our guests the best experience of our holiday park that is also our family home.

Liked Large pitches, well spaced out. Clean modern facilities. Lovely cafe with outside seating to sit and watch the narrowboats.
Disliked A bit pricy compared to other sites, Motorhome, 2 adults, 1 dog, £41per night on May. Laundry 1 wash and dry £10.50.
