N'a pas aimé All what everyone else is saying
Not a friendly place at all , doesnt have a nice feeling .Not one person talked to us or said hello .Just came back from a Devon camp and was total opposite.Work vans everywhere and overspiling on other peoples pitches.Rubbish in the lakes.Toilets and showers wasn't cleaned whilst we was there.Swimming pool near impossible to book but only had around 25 people in it .We booked 3 days tp stay as it advertised swimming pool but only got 1 hour in it . Pool was FREEZING cold anyway with most people complaining.
Ordered food and it came cold and other dish had no meat in it when it was ment to so that got sent back .
No welcome pack left for us on arrival.

I appreciate you sharing your experience with us. I understand that seeing work vehicles around the park and having them overspill onto pitches can be frustrating, particularly when you are trying to enjoy your holiday. Vehicles are permitted on the park, including those used by our maintenance and service teams, but they should always be used and parked considerately and should not obstruct or encroach on guests’ pitches. We are also looking at how we can improve signage and communication around vehicle access to make things clearer for everyone.

Your comments about the litter, toilet and shower facilities and the cleanliness of the lakes have also been noted. Our teams work throughout the day to maintain the park and facilities, but we recognise that there are areas where we need to do better.

We have continued to invest in Billing Aquadrome, including improvements to accommodation, facilities, signage, landscaping and guest areas, alongside ongoing maintenance and refurbishment. We have also introduced new developments and facilities across the park and are continuing to look at further improvements.

Regarding swimming, sessions do need to be booked in advance and availability can become limited during busy periods. I appreciate that only being able to secure one session during a three-day stay, particularly when swimming was something you were looking forward to, would have been disappointing. We have also noted your comments regarding the pool temperature and will share these with the relevant team.

I’m also concerned to hear about your experience with the food. We expect food to be served correctly and at the appropriate temperature, and your comments will be shared with the team so this can be reviewed.

Our welcome information is provided through our pre-arrival communications and Touch Stay guide, which provides information about the park, facilities, activities and what to expect during your stay. I have also noted your comments regarding the welcome pack and will ensure these are shared with the relevant team.

Our message at Meadow Bay is “It’s in our nature”, and for us that means continuing to listen, invest and improve. We know there is still work to do at Billing Aquadrome, and we will continue to push to do better.

We’re sorry to hear that you noticed rubbish around the park. Our teams work hard throughout the day to keep the park clean and tidy, and we do have bins provided around the park for guests to use. We’d really appreciate it if all our guests could help us by using the bins provided and taking pride in the park during their stay.

A aimé Liked the bike track and option of the pool was good. Nice big campsite with lots of things for the kids to do.

N'a pas aimé The place is not nice, the toilets were the worst part of the whole place I would only give them 2 stars, perhaps due to the people employed to clean them. The food in the venue was basic and that still wasn’t great, the decor and buildings are probably the same as when it was built and the decking area at the venue I would say was so bad it was lucky it was still safe.
The lake view was nice but got so busy, only having 1 toilet for all was not the best thing.
Last thing is the pitches, it was so crammed together, and the people there didn’t care, feral adults and kids and place was filled with electric scooters and bikes - even though they were banned, no one said anything.

I appreciate your comments about the toilet facilities and cleanliness. Our teams work from early morning through to late at night to clean and replenish the facilities, particularly during busy periods, and we will share your feedback with the relevant team.

We enjoyed paddle boarding on site.

N'a pas aimé Signs up in various places stating no e-bikes / scooters yet they are constantly driven round the site. Riding around in the dark, an accident waiting to happen!

Our park teams work hard from early in the morning until late into the night to ensure our toilet and shower blocks are kept clean and ready for our guests.

We have also noticed an increase in e-bikes and e-scooters around the park. As a result, we have introduced further rules, and where our park rules are not being followed, our teams will challenge this behaviour.

N'a pas aimé Free for all on pitch allocation, they give you a pitch to them be challenged by others wherever you go. Very unnerving when a man shouts at you for being in their pitch 2 different occasions.
People smoking weed everywhere
Evokes & e-scooters nearly crashing into you everywhere you go.
People just wanting to fight and argue and everything, security do nothing.
Toilets dirty and no hand soap the whole weekend.
Kids screaming music playing until way past midnight. People having fires even after the government warning. Pot washing sinks absolutely disgusting 🤮

It’s in our nature to want our guests to feel comfortable, safe and able to enjoy their time with us, so I can appreciate why some of the experiences you described left you feeling frustrated, particularly being challenged by other guests over pitches.

We are already looking at improving our touring arrival process to make it clearer and smoother for everyone. We recognise that arriving for your holiday should be straightforward, without uncertainty over where you should be pitched.

The concerns you raised about antisocial behaviour, e-scooters, smoking, noise and fires are also taken seriously. We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards unacceptable behaviour, and when these issues are witnessed or reported, our security and park teams will challenge them. We have also introduced further rules and measures around e-scooters and similar vehicles to help improve the safety of our guests and reduce the risk of accidents on park. Your comments are helpful in highlighting where we need to remain vigilant.

I also understand your frustration regarding the toilet, shower and pot-washing facilities. Our cleaning teams work from early morning through to late at night, cleaning, checking and replenishing these areas throughout the day. We do rely on our guests to treat the facilities with respect and leave them in a condition that others can use them comfortably.

There are clearly areas from your stay where we need to do better, and your feedback gives us useful points to take back to the teams.

N'a pas aimé Everything, the place is an absolute S hole, full of people you don’t want to mix with. Allocated pitch was taken up by someone else, we were told to find another by the staff, we experienced domestic violence near our camp with their children screaming help as they smacked each other about, kids handbrake turning cars about and many rough people. Our kids cried most of the night as they were scared, good job as we were awake and could make sure nothing got nicked.

If you are a genuine hard working family looking for a good little break with your kids, avoid this place and book somewhere else. We didn’t even do any activities, we just got out of there. I could go way deeper on more but you get the idea.

Only good thing is we got refunded for the 2nd night without hassle.

While we cannot be responsible for the behaviour of individual guests, we do take reports of antisocial behaviour extremely seriously. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards this type of behaviour, and when concerns are brought to our attention, our park teams will investigate and challenge those involved where appropriate.
