What customers say
Great spot near Nottingham & water sports. Reviewers love the spacious sites, friendly staff & easy check-in. While generally clean with good facilities, some mention dated/untidy loos. Still a popular family choice for its vibe & access to fun.

Unpowered grass site
Liked Great area, plenty of facilities, friendly staff, literally over the road from the water sports centre for a nice walk or if you were staying for sports. Listing on pitchup states no Tentboxes but site confirmed we could stay under a tent booking
Disliked Some loud moments late at night and again around 4:30 in the morning. Some showers/taps not working.

Disliked Could do with a baby change. Plenty of space in the disabled toilet for a free standing one.

Nice site but no control of the site once the office closes.
Powered grass site
Liked I was on a section on my own which was nice apart from one night where someone was placed right next to me for a night with 7 other pitches available. Why squeeze us together?
Disliked A white van and electric bikes racing by the pods on the dusty gravel constantly over the weekend where children were playing trying to raise dust clouds. And these were mainly adults!!!! No one around to stop them as the office cannot see the park for the short time its open. They say in t&c's security walking around. If that's right they need replacing.

Powered grass site
Liked Great place, we had a really nice pitch with shaded area so was perfect.
Disliked There was a big group of people who turned up uninvited that gained access through the barriers and they trashed the place, the children were fighting, very disrespectful to the grounds however we were quite far away from them so didn’t bother us near our tent, but caused a lot of disturbances at the park and around the shower/toilet blocks

Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked Well maintained facilities, easily accessible, nice amount of trees and green space. Good playground
Disliked Odd clientele behaviour, some people in cars repeatedly driving to and from the toilet block and revving engines/driving fast past the tourer caravans.

Powered grass site
Liked Lovely ground with lots to do
Disliked Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing overall. One of the main concerns was a group of (Irish) children throwing rocks around the site, at our children , which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe at times. When this was raised, it felt as though little action was taken to address the issue.
The shower facilities were in need of significant improvement. Some of the cubicles were very small, and many of the hooks for hanging clothes were broken or rusty, making them difficult to use.
The disabled toilet facilities were also out of action throughout our stay. What was particularly frustrating is that reviews from before our visit mentioned the same issue, so this appears to have been an ongoing problem that has not been addressed. For a site catering to a wide range of guests, accessible facilities should be a priority.
There also appeared to be very little staff presence on site. During our stay, reception was rarely open, which made it difficult to raise concerns or seek assistance when needed.
The pot-washing facilities were another disappointment. There were not enough sinks for the number of guests, and the area was often unclean. As a result, it sometimes felt more hygienic to leave dishes until later rather than use the facilities provided.
This is a real shame because the site has so much potential. There is plenty of space between caravans and tents, which is great, and there are lots of activities and areas for children to enjoy. However, the lack of maintenance, cleanliness, and visible staff support left us feeling let down by what could otherwise have been an excellent campsite. Overall, it felt as though the site was not being maintained to the standard that guests would reasonably expect.
