What customers say
A favourite, well-kept spot with amazing ocean vistas and coastal path access. Toilets, showers & pool generally clean. Fish & chips and shop are handy. Kids love the play park and shows. Great atmosphere & location, though can be busy/noisy when full. Occasional cleanliness or Wi-Fi glitches.

Liked We loved the site had a lovely time the views were great the Chippy was lovely.
Disliked The small toilet block could do with smarting up no wet room floor squeegees to use after showering.and the stone pitches need attention stones all over the grass . The dog park needs mesh fitting to the fence as small dogs can get under it

Lovely site we came from Shropshire took us 5hrs with the tourer on.
Upper area FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (super)
Liked The size of the site was great even just for a social walk-around. Toilets and showers were spotless so hats off to the cleaning crews. Loved the coastal walk from the site into Filey. Well located site for getting to places. Will be coming back.
Disliked Shower times need to stay on a little longer when the button is pushed It cuts out to quick and have to push it to often having a lovely shower becoming a pain. Couldn't connect to the WIFI either ( I think due to the size of the site)

Liked The site is good with lovely view of sea and you can see Scarborough in the distance. Lovely coast walk just right next to the campsite. The playground was good for children.

Upper area FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (super)
Liked plenty of showers etc and all clean- fully stocked shop - Fish & chips good price and nice - great park for the kids - beautiful sea views from the top field - great local pub & garage ten min walk
Disliked People arriving at 8.00 & 8.40 with Caravans to pitch up (we had a baby & toddler so I checked the time before booking-this is between12-6.00-so that woke them up for the rest if the night) lots of dog dirt all over the grassed areas next to our pitch. Taxis bringing people back at 12.20am (no gates on the site)

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you enjoyed the facilities, shop, fish and chips, play park and the lovely views. Guests can pre-arrange later arrivals, which is often the case on a Friday after school or work. People are also welcome to enjoy their stay, and may return by taxi if visiting local towns or events. We’re sorry this caused some disturbance, but it’s not fair to place the blame on another family’s holiday. We do monitor the park, provide bins and check regularly, though sadly not all dog owners clean up after their pets. We appreciate your feedback.
Great site, would definitely stay again.…

From the manager: Thank you Debbie, we’re delighted you enjoyed your stay and found the shop so reasonably priced. We really appreciate your comments and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
All excellent apart from lack of cut off time for noise at night
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Friendly and helpful receptionist. Spacious pitch. Fantastic views. Excellent facilities frequently cleaned. Delicious fish and chips.
Disliked Rowdy groups of campers making lots of noise until 1.30am, drunk and swearing. Awoken by someone drunkenly shouting at 3.30am. Such a shame as it has put us off coming back again a bit.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you enjoyed the facilities, views and fish and chips, and found the team welcoming. We’re sorry your stay was disturbed by noise from other campers. We do monitor the park, but if issues like this occur, we encourage guests to contact reception or security so we can address them straight away. We hope this won’t put you off returning as most guests have the peaceful experience you described.
Fabulous site, clean and friendly.

Windy place with a spectacular view
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked If you like to camp near the cliffs with a view on Scarborough (5 miles away) this site is the place to go. It can be very windy. Most of the ground not 100% level, but that didn’t bother me. Very comfortable showers and toilets. Friendly staff to welcome you.
Disliked Some rubbish flying around when windy.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your kind review. We’re glad you enjoyed the views, facilities and welcome from our team. The cliff top location does mean it can get windy at times, but it also makes the scenery so special. Guests using the bins provided really helps us keep litter to a minimum, but we’ll continue working hard to keep the site tidy. We hope to see you again.
