What customers say
A favourite, well-kept spot with amazing ocean vistas and coastal path access. Toilets, showers & pool generally clean. Fish & chips and shop are handy. Kids love the play park and shows. Great atmosphere & location, though can be busy/noisy when full. Occasional cleanliness or Wi-Fi glitches.

Facilities where good, people did respect…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (overflow)
Liked Facilities where good, people did respect the 11:00 quiet time.
Disliked Litter and tab ends all over the pitches. Plus dog muck as dogs roamed free. This is no fault of the site it's the people who stay there.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the facilities and the quiet time. We do have regular checks around the site, but as you say, some issues unfortunately come down to guest behaviour. We’ll keep working hard to maintain the grounds and hope to see you again.
Very pleasant campsite, well maintained and lots to do.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked We enjoyed our short stay over the weekend. There was plenty of space to choose from when pitching and all amenities clean, warm and working. The kids park was a huge hit and was really busy almost all day.
The swimming pool on site is a fantastic opportunity as is the popular Fish and Chip shop.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely feedback. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay, found the facilities clean and welcoming, and that the children loved the play park and swimming pool. It’s great to hear you also enjoyed the fish and chip shop. We look forward to welcoming you back again.

Liked Good and clean toilets
Good entertainment and swimming pool, shop with decent prices
Disliked Some tent pitches far from toilet block

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. We’re glad you enjoyed the facilities, entertainment and shop. Some tent pitches are further from the toilet block, but guests choose where to go in the fields, and many appreciate the extra space and quieter setting they provide.
Great supermarket on site, lovely fish…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (overflow)
Liked Great supermarket on site, lovely fish and chip shop and our little one loved the pool.
Disliked Toilet and showers were tired, cold and very unclean. I chose not to use them finding alternatives elsewhere. Staff were regularly in there cleaning but site is very big and very busy. We didn’t find it child friendly either. We stayed in a tent on the overflow field which was incredibly noisy with bar noise and groups of very inconsiderate rude, drunk people. Too many tents for the space.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the shop, fish and chips and that your little one loved the pool. For this reason, it’s surprising to read that you found the site not child friendly, as many families, including your own, enjoy these facilities.
With regard to the overflow field, the photographs we use on the pitchup advert show it at full capacity. During your stay the field was less than 50% full, though it was indeed a busy August weekend. Entertainment in the bar finishes at 10pm, so noise is kept to a minimum from our own facilities at night. We do have staff monitoring the toilets, and while you found them not to your liking, our cleaning teams were working regularly throughout the day.
We feel a score of 1/10 is very harsh given your positive comments and the enjoyment your child had during your stay. Nonetheless, we appreciate you sharing your thoughts as we continually look for ways to improve.
Crows Nest Caravan Park is a well located and resourced site.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The site is well maintained and full of everything that you could need when camping: fantastic space (both in the main field and overflow site), great amenities such as the well stocked shop, fish ‘n’ chip shop, bar/entertainment, swimming spool and laundry facilities.
Disliked There wasn’t anything that we disliked or felt displeasure with throughout our visit.

Liked Lovely site
Well situated near beach

And taxi s
Shop onsite not overly dear which you normally get at haven
Brilliant fish chip shop gorgeous
Swimming pool was brilliant for my little ones no need to book
Need more entertainment for kids and a play area near pub would be ideal as the play area to far away for my under 3 and a indoor area for bad weather as there is nothing for them in bad weather
The kids entertainment is fantastic but nothing for them early enough all to late at night
It’s ideal for adults on night great bands
Disliked Nothing for kids through day and no indoor activities apart from swimming

We would definitely visit again.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (overflow)
Liked Great atmosphere for families at the campsite. The playground was pretty good but my kid just liked running around with all the other kids in the overflow field. The pool was lovely and warm and perfect for helping our 5yr old to become more confident in water. Facilities were always available. The shop was helpful and fish and chips were pretty good too.
Disliked It was very busy from Friday -Sunday in the overflow field and I think it wouldn’t be too hard to add a toilet block in that field.
It’s a windy spot due to its location. Nothing to be done about that but worth noting.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments. We’re so pleased you enjoyed the family atmosphere, facilities and especially the pool helping your little one gain confidence. The overflow field is only used on a handful of very busy weekends each year, so unfortunately it would not gain planning for a toilet block. We really appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again.
