What customers say

A ripper spot with awesome sea views & coast path access. Clean loos, showers & pool generally get a thumbs up. Great tucker from the chippy & shop. Kids love the playground & shows. Friendly vibe & handy for exploring, but can get a bit hectic & noisy during peak season.

Upper area fully-serviced gravel caravan site (super)

Liked plenty of showers etc and all clean- fully stocked shop - Fish & chips good price and nice - great park for the kids - beautiful sea views from the top field - great local pub & garage ten min walk

Disliked People arriving at 8.00 & 8.40 with Caravans to pitch up (we had a baby & toddler so I checked the time before booking-this is between12-6.00-so that woke them up for the rest if the night) lots of dog dirt all over the grassed areas next to our pitch. Taxis bringing people back at 12.20am (no gates on the site)

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you enjoyed the facilities, shop, fish and chips, play park and the lovely views. Guests can pre-arrange later arrivals, which is often the case on a Friday after school or work. People are also welcome to enjoy their stay, and may return by taxi if visiting local towns or events. We’re sorry this caused some disturbance, but it’s not fair to place the blame on another family’s holiday. We do monitor the park, provide bins and check regularly, though sadly not all dog owners clean up after their pets. We appreciate your feedback.

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site

Liked Friendly and helpful receptionist. Spacious pitch. Fantastic views. Excellent facilities frequently cleaned. Delicious fish and chips.

Disliked Rowdy groups of campers making lots of noise until 1.30am, drunk and swearing. Awoken by someone drunkenly shouting at 3.30am. Such a shame as it has put us off coming back again a bit.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you enjoyed the facilities, views and fish and chips, and found the team welcoming. We’re sorry your stay was disturbed by noise from other campers. We do monitor the park, but if issues like this occur, we encourage guests to contact reception or security so we can address them straight away. We hope this won’t put you off returning as most guests have the peaceful experience you described.

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site

Liked If you like to camp near the cliffs with a view on Scarborough (5 miles away) this site is the place to go. It can be very windy. Most of the ground not 100% level, but that didn’t bother me. Very comfortable showers and toilets. Friendly staff to welcome you.

Disliked Some rubbish flying around when windy.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review. We’re glad you enjoyed the views, facilities and welcome from our team. The cliff top location does mean it can get windy at times, but it also makes the scenery so special. Guests using the bins provided really helps us keep litter to a minimum, but we’ll continue working hard to keep the site tidy. We hope to see you again.

Liked Views were amazing , the fish shop was clean snd lovely food.

Disliked The cleanliness of toilets were awful, the pub had a shocking amount of flies too.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you enjoyed the views and our fish and chip shop. All toilet blocks are cleaned regularly throughout the day, though they can become busy at peak times. We’ll also look into your comments about flies in the pub. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again.

Local attractions

Leave the car behind: buses running between Scarborough and Bridlington pick up from the end of the Crows Nest Caravan Park drive and discount day tickets are available to keep more money for seaside rock. The kids will probably clamour first for Scarborough: there are the North Bay and South Bay beaches to bounce around as well as the traditional seaside fairground and donkey rides. But Scarborough’s also a hotspot for culture vultures, with the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Scarborough Art Gallery and Rotunda Museum alongside regular festivals and events throughout the year. Fab Filey is even closer: this Edwardian town has a five-mile stretch of sand and is backed by the peninsula and cliffs of Filey Brigg – this is the place to birdwatch and wildlife spot, with rockpools along the beach and many species of birds and beasts to see all year round. The 110-mile Cleveland Way starts here for hiking your way around Yorkshire’s history and heritage: Scarborough Castle, Whitby Abbey and Dracula tales, Mount Grace Priory and Rievaulx Abbey are all along the route. Away from the seaside and vampires, puff between Whitby and Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, veer between villages in the North York Moors National Park or get citified around York and Hull, all within easy driving distance of Crows Nest.
