Glasson Dock Campsite

Positiv Was such a lovely campsite. Basic but that’s what we like . Massive field with lots of space for kids to play, pitch sizes are great , we paid for an electric pitch and they had a water tap on each pitch too which was very convenient …. Site owner was lovely, checked on us after arrival and gave us lots of local information . Will definitely be back

Negativ Loos were better than expected as were in a converted caravan , only downside was the door was too close to the toilet meaning no room really so most night left door open slightly. And lightning situation wasn’t the best but we took our torches so possible advice for future campers

Negativ It was like pitching up on a council estate. The owner needs to enforce some rules. People up until 3am screaming and shouting, that was after they pulled the tree down to burnit. A man decided he would get out his tent and urinate up against the fence. To be fair the Toilets looked like a poo grenade had gone off in them.

The lack of showers wasn’t a problem!
My grandchildren (5,5 and 3) absolutely loved the little play area and making new friends!

Positiv Small little campsite with a little park for the kids. A little jetty into the canal. But due to the heatwave it's quite low ATM. Apart from the toilet size the overall experience was good. The owner of the site came round and was very nice he even put our shoes inside when we was out so the rain didn't soak them. He could charge more for a night if the toilets and showers were bigger.

Negativ Toilets are on site and kept clean down side is they could do with a little more leg room. Had to sit sideways and the light weren't working in one of the cubicles.

Positiv Beautiful location next to Lancaster canal with jetty straight onto canal with lovely church opposite and short walk to docks with cafe ,shops with great selection of food. Definitely worth a visit great vibe on campsite a haven for everyone

Negativ Toilets could do with a make over and no hot water ..it's the only thing letting this site down.. otherwise it would be a ten from me ! x

Positiv Very helpful owner. We arrived slightly earlier than anticipated but he allowed us on anyway. A great campsite with plenty of pitching space. We didn't really stay much as we were in Blackpool for majority of the weekend but loved when we were onsite.
Nice open fields to stargaze and access to the canal to feed swans.
Messaged owner to inform him of some disrespectful people who had destroyed the toilet and within half an hour he had been and cleaned it. Would book again in the future. We had one electric and one non electric tent.

Negativ Toilets need more room. Extend the door forward as you don't need as much room to wash hands in my opinion but that's all ☺️

Positiv Loved the little play area/frame in the middle as we have small children so was really handy for when we where setting up and taking everything down, they made loads of friends with the other kids at campsite too which was lovely, wasn’t too loud of a night time, owner came and had a chat when we arrived and explained what was near by, he was lovely! would definitely come again.

Negativ Toilets could do with an upgrade but didn’t bother us too much

Positiv Nice site, great location next to canal, close to cafe and pub. Got a discount card for the cafe and lovely meal.

Positiv Flat surface, water point for each pitch, playground, location, customer service

Negativ Not a dislike really but toilets could do with an upgrade as a mid-sized person can barely fit in a cubicle.
