What customers say
Basic canal-side campsite with friendly owner, large spots, and great walks. Enjoy peace, water sports, and campfires. Dated, small facilities with no hot water & occasional noise noted. Ideal for a no-frills, relaxed stay.

Liked Lovely site, right next to the river, excellent electric hook up and brilliant addition having your own water tap. Very clean and well maintained site
Disliked The toilets were a bit snug I’m only 5 foot 3 and my knees touched the door, my daughter who is a lot taller almost had to kneel on the floor, but for the amount of times we had to use them it didn’t spoil our stay

Liked What a wonderful site. I genuinely don’t know what the bad reviews are about! We had an amazing time, owner is lovely, site was clean, toilets were clean. There’s water at the end of each pitch which we’ve not had before on other sites.
Disliked There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Great location for Glasson basin and coast walks/cycle routes. Right next to canal with direct access for water craft. Brilliant host. Helpful, friendly and available.
Disliked Toilet/shower block needs hot water and an upgrade to get a perfect score.

Would go again but preferably at a quieter time of year.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely field and the gentleman who owned it was very friendly. Told us where to go in the area for certain things. There was a spare fire pit on site so we borrowed that and dogs were allowed.
Disliked Toilets were clean but awfully small, really struggled to shut the door whilst sat down. Also had some very noisy campers next to us but that's no fault of the owners - they were screaming and singing until about 3am, even when they had kids themselves.
