A aimé The farmer was polite the setting could be beautiful, access to canal for paddle/kayaks like wild camping but full of disrespectful campers

N'a pas aimé We had bad experience - the campsite was far to packed kept up both nights 1st group of woman until early hours 2nd a family that pitched so close and was up until to 4am at 3:30am they started to pitch a tent at back of my tent bedroom and pump airbed- literally no sleep- toilets tiny ( old worn tourer van)but usable unlike the freezing cold shower in toilets with a plastic shower curtain no hooks for clothes, grass was over grown.
Sadly the place could be amazing with little extra care - no sight of farmer other than to check you in-but we would not return - if your looking for a party site with no rules this is for you

A aimé We were the only people there and we pitched right next to the canal which was lovely. Quiet at night. Great for bird spotting. Really interesting location. Friendly, helpful owner.

N'a pas aimé The place could do with a tidy up, rubble and rubbish. After some rain the field was boggy in places... Even had Mallards swimming in it. I like birds so didn't mind that bit. It would be tricky if you were pitching a tent though. There isn't enough room to close the door when you sit on the loo. As I was the only one in there I left it open! Not a deal breaker and I hate leaving negative comments but this is a lovely spot which could be much improved.

A aimé Stayed midweek, had the place to ourselves. Quiet and peaceful, next to the canal. Owner friendly and helpful, great location. Fresh water and EHU. Bus stop right outside, 20 min into Lancaster. If you're self sufficient it's a great stopover.

Toilet cubicles seriously cramped when the door is closed.....it is difficult to sort things 😂

A aimé First impression was OMG what have we booked as bins overflowing rubbish on ground
The owner was very welcoming nothing was any trouble for him he was always checking the toilets
Location is ideal for young families as site is great for children to run around
No WiFi

N'a pas aimé The toilets are a disgrace as old caravan toilet that close to the door your knees touch it as you sit down
Shower absolutely minging no hot water

A aimé We came in late October and had the whole field to ourselves! Owner was lovely and gave us a discount voucher for the nearby cafe!

N'a pas aimé Toilets and showers did the job but not great. It was very wet and rainy when we got here so had a few leaks here and there.

A aimé Not much to like here, except the peace and the sounds of wildlife in the countryside. We only had a one night stopover which was just as well. Was disappointed because when we arrived we tried ringing the owner but had no response on either number. We drove into the field which was really wet and got stuck. The grass had been cut but not collected so grass cuttings got everywhere. We eventually managed to move our caravan out of the mud and move our car. When we met the owner he said he had to close the campside as it was waterlogged, but as we had already booked he opened it for us. He should have let us know so we could have booked elsewhere.
The toilets have seen better days. We didn't expect much but they really needed updating and a clean, inside and out.

A aimé Very quiet ..you can see the boats on the canel ..very nice food at local pub ... very nice scenery, The site owner was very helpful, couldnt do enough to help us.
