Ditch the car should you so desire – or indeed, arrive here deftly on foot on a Swiss trek, as the walkers' paradise site of Camping Cavresc is only five minutes from its local train station. Families, couples and intrepid solitary explorers all flock to this tiptop place among the Swiss Alps, for hols of a hiking sort as well as watersports of all sorts in the glacial waters of spectacular Lake Poschiavo 300 metres away (you really can ditch the car while at Cavresc should you so desire). Liked Szép táj, hegyek a közelben, hegyi folyó a camping mellett.
Közel fut a legendás vasút -vonal!
Kicsi, de tiszta WC és tusoló.
Valódi melegvíz egész nap( igaz csak pénzbedobásos tusoló).
A campingezők kedvesek, barátságosak voltak.

Disliked Nagy zaj szinte egész nap kora reggeltől késő estig a camping közvetlen szomszédságában levő és napi szinten működő mezőgazdasági üzem, farm miatt! Gépzúgás, traktorok, munkagépek jöttek-mentek, dízel-füst, dízel szag egész nap! Mindez a távbortól kb 20-30 méterre! Kb.10 méterre a tábortól egy karámban, egyébként aranyos, kecskéket tartottak, de emiatt rengeteg volt a légy! Abnormálisan sok légy volt! Az internetes ismertetőben a mezőgazdasági üzem, a traktorok, az egész napos gépzaj NEM szerepelt!! Az egyetlen szeméttárolót közvetlenül a sátorverésre kijelölt hely mellé telepítették, az ott töltött 5 nap alatt egyszer sem nem ürítették, (kivéve az üres üveges tartályt), gusztustalan, rendezetlen volt.
Mindez jelentősen rontotta az egyébként szép tájban levő camping élvezhetőségét!
Én kb. 1000 km-t autóztam oda, ugyanennyit vissza, hogy évek óta dédelgetett tervemet megvalósítsam hogy a gyönyörű Svájc ezen gyönyörű szegletében sátorozhassak, de nem ilyen viszonyokra számítottam. 170 svájci frank volt 4 éjszakára a sátorhely. Nem túl sok, de annyira nem is kevés.
Ez most sajnos csalódás volt. Ha előre tudom mindezt, nem ide jöttem volna.

Liked Unkompliziert und einfach aber sehr sauber. Da viele auf der Durchreise sind und nur ein zwei Tage bleiben, ist eine Reservation nicht unbedingt erforderlich. Es hat meistens noch Platz.

Liked We really enjoyed this site & were lucky with the weather after some damp September days.

We arrived about 4.30pm having shopped on the way as there is no shop onsite.
Reception is open 8.30-10 & 4-6 and is located in the building with all the amenities. Straight forward check in & changed a note for coins to use in the showers and laundry.

You can choose your own pitch and we found 3 or 4 round the corner by the side of the house/lodges/back gate that was not as boggy as the main area in front of the house. I had read that the electric was spaced out but this side area was no problem with water and electric nearby. The grey waste and toilet waste were also in the corner.

The facilities were very clean & warm. There are good showers needing 50c for 3 minutes although you can press the stop/start button when needed to save time. I showered and washed my hair with one coin but think there was still a bit of credit left from the previous user.

The washing machines & tumble dryers both used 1chf each but again there was some credit left in the washing machines. I used the 20 mins quick wash & 20 minutes extra dry cycle in the dryer - this dried a full load undies in the 20 minutes. There is an outdoor drying area round by the washing up area.

We cooked both nights as no restaurant onsite and the town was quite quiet.

The back gate path leads straight to the lake, about 5 mins walk away and 4 miles walking around the lake path.

A bread truck comes in the morning so we bought some pastries for our ongoing journey.

Lovely site and location and it was fairly quiet being late September.

Liked Campeggio fantastico! La posizione è l'ideale per chi desidera trascorrere del tempo immersi tra panorami montuosi mozzafiato. Le docce ed i bagni sono più puliti di quelli di un hotel ed il personale è cordiale e gentile (ci ha regalato anche i gettoni per fare la doccia dato che no avevamo franchi svizzeri). Consigliatissimo!

Local attractions

The deep blue glacial waters of lovely Lago di Poschiavo are within a couple of minutes' meander from the site for spectacular scenery and lakeside hikes. Woodland trails are close by too: ask the Camping Cavresc team for info on the best routes. Local town Poschiavo is connected to the Alps region of Engadin and the rest of Switzerland via the Bernina Pass, the high mountain pass linking the Poschiavo valley and St Moritz. To traverse it in splendid style, take the Bernina Express tourist train running all year round between Chur and Tirano; it's the highest railway route in Europe at 2,253 metres, so get pics aplenty to show off later. At the foot of the Bernina mountain range, about half an hour's drive from the site, the glacier mills area of Cavaglia is also mighty pretty for pics and trekking around. Access it 400 metres from the Cavaglia station of the Rhaetian Railway, either under your own steam or on a guided tour available from June to October.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

The fishing lakes are stocked with trout, char.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
