Campsite with views of the mountains all around

Campsite is in the bottom of the valley. we caught the train down from zurich... amazing views!

Swing and small play area on the near by lake

Weather was pretty poor, but made the views amazing.

Liked: Schön gelegener familiärer Campingplatz. Idealer Ausgangspunkt zur Fahrt mit dem Berninaexpress Richtung Chur (Bahnhof in gemütlichen 10 Gehminuten) Saubere Sanitäranlagen. Duschen perfekt, 3 Min. 50 Rappen und ausreichend wenn man Unterbrechungsfunktion nutzt :-) Sehr freundliche unkomplizierte Mitarbeiter. Freie Platzwahl. Für die Nacht auf dem Platz ist eine Taschenlampe Pflicht. T o p Wifi. Ausser Sonntag kommt am Morgen ein Brötchenmobil. Kleiner Laden Nähe Bahnhof. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen !

Liked: The campsite is located in a beautiful part of Switzerland and well priced. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Disliked: Double check when you pay the difference at the campsite, I think I was overcharged and they didn't take into account the payment I had already made on pitchup.

The bathrooms were a bit small for the amount of campers.

We checked in late but it was quite difficult to find a spot, it would've helped if they provided a way to obtain instructions.

Clean facilities
Play area just outside site ideal for little ones

Disliked: Noisy site, right next to horse stables and could hear mucking out etc at 5am
Lots of vans leaving early as probably used for overnight stop so woken early
Not as picturesque as thought

Liked: Location ottima, un bel prato verde con piazzole non delimitate parzialmente ombreggiate, a 5 minuti dal lago (consiglio giro del lago a piedi) e a 5 minuti da stazione del trenino rosso del Bernina
Servizi igienici e docce sempre puliti e funzionanti perfettamente, docce calde funzionano con monetine svizzere ma non è un problema, cambio alla reception senza problemi anche in euro.
Ogni mattina possibilità di acquistare pane fresco al furgone (anche in euro).
Un plauso alla Sig.ra Ornella che ci ha accolto con gentilezza e disponibilità !!!
Torneremo.

Disliked: In generale preferisco campeggi con piazzole delimitate, per un maggior ordine generale e una privacy personale.... ma devo dire che non ci sono mai stati problemi con i vicini che si sono avvicendati nei 10 gg di ns. soggiorno.
Mi permetto solo di suggerire una adeguata illuminazione notturna.

Liked: Bardzo przyjemne, nieduże pole. Bloga cisza i spokój. Na recepcji można się porozumieć po angielsku, włosku, francuski i niemiecku. Teren pod namiot dość równy. Nie ma wydzielonych stanowisk. Toalety bardzo czyste i regularnie sprawdzane. Prysznice są za pół Franka ale drobne można wymienić na recepcji a 3 minuty prysznica wystarczyły w zupełności. Można grillować i mieć psiaki. Bardzo pomocna obsługa, dostaliśmy przejściówkę do prądu, za darmo bo naszej zabrakło 3m do najbliższego kontaktu. Blisko do sklepu, restauracji no i przepięknego jeziora. W 15min można zajechać do Lidla we włoskim Tirano (polecam jak ktoś chce zaoszczędzić).

Disliked: Delikatne minusy:
potrzeba długiego kabla do prądu bo słupki rozstawione dość rzadko
im później docierasz tym gorszy plac do wyboru co może być problemem dla podróżujących z dużym namiotem

Local attractions

The deep blue glacial waters of lovely Lago di Poschiavo are within a couple of minutes' meander from the site for spectacular scenery and lakeside hikes. Woodland trails are close by too: ask the Camping Cavresc team for info on the best routes. Local town Poschiavo is connected to the Alps region of Engadin and the rest of Switzerland via the Bernina Pass, the high mountain pass linking the Poschiavo valley and St Moritz. To traverse it in splendid style, take the Bernina Express tourist train running all year round between Chur and Tirano; it's the highest railway route in Europe at 2,253 metres, so get pics aplenty to show off later. At the foot of the Bernina mountain range, about half an hour's drive from the site, the glacier mills area of Cavaglia is also mighty pretty for pics and trekking around. Access it 400 metres from the Cavaglia station of the Rhaetian Railway, either under your own steam or on a guided tour available from June to October.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Extras

A charge of CHF0.50 (£0.45) applies for the use of the shower.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The bar is open between 01/04 and 21/10.
The fishing lakes are stocked with trout, char.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
You'll need an Environment Agency rod licence (you'll need to apply for this beforehand).

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/07 and 15/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. between 01/04 - 14/06 and 15/09 - 31/10.
Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. between 15/06 and 14/09.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Please do not touch or feed the animals.
Swimming in the lake is allowed.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. Cars are not permitted when travelling with a motorhome/campervan.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
