  • Family-friendly site five kilometres from the resort of San Sebastián
  • Shuttle bus to town running every half an hour
  • Barbecue area on site; shops and restaurants half a kilometre away
Right. Firmness is probably needed here. If you're in the habit of holidaying fairly regularly in Spain and you haven't yet been to San Sebastián in the Basque Country, it's a firm fact that you really should, and soon. San Sebastián is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain and has been described as the country's 'most elegant and fashionable seaside resort' (high praise indeed…) And you might want to stay at WeCamp San Sebastián too: it's only five kilometres from the resort's gorgeous Ondarreta beach, in a sublime setting between the mountains and the sea, and – how super – runs a shuttle bus to San Sebastián every 30 minutes. WeCamp San Sebastián is a family-friendly site with modern facilities, including an outdoor pool (open during high season only) and a kids’ club that handily runs daily activities. Covering the practical side of things, the site has an amenities block with plenty of showers and loos, hot and cold water all day and night long, and coin-operated washers and dryers. A roomy barbecue area with picnic tables is available for guests' use. Shops and restaurants are just over half a kilometre away.

What customers say

This campsite is praised for its excellent location for visiting San Sebastián, with a frequent and convenient bus service directly from the entrance. Guests highlight the clean and modern facilities, particularly the shower blocks, and the helpfulness of the staff. The swimming pool and on-site bar/restaurant are also noted as positive aspects. Some reviewers mention steep access roads and occasionally small or uneven pitches, and advise following campsite directions over satnav. The restaurant's quality and pricing receive mixed reviews.

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch (plus)

Liked De ontvangst. Zeer vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.
Mooie verharde plekken.
Heerlijke douches.

Non-electric grass and gravel campervan pitch

Liked Toller Stellplatz, um San Sebastian zu besuchen, da in unmittelbarer Nähe, ein Bus alle 1/2 St. runter in die Stadt fährt.
Alles sauber, sogar ein kleiner Waschsalon ist vorhanden.

Disliked Nichts Negatives.

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch (plus)

Liked Very clean and friendly staff

Disliked The drive up from San Sebastián was not for the faint hearted with a caravan on the back. Steep, windy inclines. Took about 20 mins. The campsite itself had a very small pitches, we were given a pitch that we couldn’t get the caravan into as it was so tight and there was a camper parked opposite in the road on the smallest pitch I’ve ever seen. And half the site was empty so why they gave us that pitch I have no idea. The shower blocks and toilets were freezing and not heated. We visited in December. There was no way you could use them. Also it was a good €15 more per night than anywhere else we stayed at in Spain

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch (plus)

Liked Good secure location out of town but next to the half hourly bus ride into the centre.
A nice friendly bar about 1O mins walk away and an exquisite grocery stor about 20 mins walk ( although you could cheat and get the bus)
The site is clean as are the toilets/ showers etc

Disliked I think it is very expensive for this time of year " early November" at nearly 50 euros a night, including electric.

Local attractions

San Sebastián city centre is 15 minutes’ drive from WeCamp San Sebastián – or do get that 30-minute shuttle bus... Once in town, firmly recommended are scenic strolls along its three beaches: La Concha, the surf centre Zurriola, and Ondarreta, a family-friendly and large stretch of sand also known for its surfing and bodyboarding. San Sebastián is quite the foodie city too – many inhabitants are members of the local gourmet clubs – and has heaps of well-renowned restaurants at which to sample Basque and other cuisine. It's a cultural place as well, home of the San Sebastián International Film Festival and of Jazzaldia, the longest continuously running jazz festival in Europe; small wonder that, along with Wrocław in Poland, San Sebastián was awarded European City of Culture for 2016... The city is also (sí, there's a whole heap more) famed for its pintxos, the small bars of the region serving tapas alongside its drinks. Head to the San Sebastián Old Town to try the best of them: another reason this city is a must is that it has the highest concentration of bars in the world.
