I always like to write a balanced and honest review of any site we visit.

Arrived on site to find them shut for lunch (despite arrivals stated as anytime) pitches where as described if not larger, due to them being quiet we were able to change our pitch to a location which suited us better. Pitches were fairly level on grass,a high percentage are fully serviced, alot of pitches didnt get much direct sun and certainly the top premium ones (which we considered) didnt, depends what you want though, we prefer a bit of both!
The pool was good, however was cleverly photographed for the advert and brochures! No lifeguard while we were there (high season - July/Aug?) Plenty of beds and chairs though and the pool can be covered for cooler/wet days
The high season hadnt kicked in when we arrived (french kids still on holiday so first week very quiet) although they state July and August as high season. The site is quite rural and only a local farmshop type place to shop within walking distance, on site shop limited and quite expensive.
You need to travel 15 minutes + to a decent supermarket (would recommend Maze, as you hit Maze, right at the roundabout and then a massive L'Clerc - satnav took us into village)
The ladies toilet and shower facilities had been refurbished for 2018 but not all available to use, however this didnt cause us too much of an issue and they were very clean and nice. The gents were slightly older.
We ate that the poolside snack bar (was open 4pm - 9pm while we were there) reasonably priced and nice food although menu was limited)
Chemical toilet emptying isnt very well signed (near the pool entrance) so saw some people emptying in the toilets.
A great base for visiting chateau's and vineyards in the area. Roads are very rural and often single track.
As the site is wooded, think possibly grounds to the very nearby chateau there were lots of mosquitos and flies, can recommend mosquito bands found in a local supermarket.
We booked this location as going out of school holidays for the first time we thought inland would be warmer and that was certainly true (although everywhere has had stunning weather), we ventured out on several occasions, Le Mans (enjoyed a days classic car racing thanks to an impromptu conversation with a guy heading there to marshall at Newhaven docks!)
We stayed on the west coast last year (Vendee) and never managed to visit Saint Nazaire so decided to make the 200 mile +round trip was well worth it to see the u-boat pens, the french submarine and The Grand Blockhaus further up the coast (we didnt pick the day well as got caught up in the Tour de France - but that added to the fun!!)
We visited a couple of Chateau's in Brissac and Sumaur both very different but stunning although if Brissac did commentary like the submarine would have been much better than trying to read in english whilst listening to a very enthusiastic frenchman.
We would certainly consider using Yelloh Villages sites again but this area probably isnt for us, it is too rural and very very laid back! but if thats your thing go for it!!
Tip - worth trying to google earth the area you plan to stay in prior to arrival as we like to be able to stroll to a town or village for coffee/beer/people watch :-) as this was certainly lacking unless you drive 15/20 miles
Id give 5 stars had it not been for the location which wasn't very well described.
Check the wifi costs, we saw posters saying €75/week!!! fortunately we had good 3G/4G signal so didnt need to use, however believe you can have 30 mins per day free (the kind ladies in reception printed out our tickets for Le Mans - hence we found out about the freebie!)
I have had to put below wouldnt stay here again as it wasnt for us but as mentioned previously i would definitely use Yelloh Village sites again!
Hope this has been helpful and informative for any prospective users of the site - happy holidays :-)

    Disliked:

Not a great deal to dislike, arriving and reception being closed for lunch was a pain especially after a night crossing/little sleep and a long drive and temps well into the 30's and wanting to get pitched up.
They state that high season is July & August although don't think it really getting going until most of mainland europe are on holiday can imagine it can be quite busy in high season

We have two boys aged 7 and 10 and they had a great time here.travelling out of season has its benefits as there a few people on holiday at this time of year so it’s all lovley and quiet.
The kids clubs where still on though which was great and the pool area was very nice.there is a cover for the pool if the weather is cool. The pool was a great size to do some proper swimming in to.
There is a fab in door area with huge bouncy castles for this kids and other play equipment.
It’s a great location for getting to know the area too. A short walk out of the site to the left is a tiny hamlet which had a great cafe which had regular music evenings on. Puy du foy is an absolute must! The most amazing theme place we have ever been to and there and no rides just spectacular shows!
We felt really safe on this site and we would definitely stay here again.

Very generous pitches, lovely swimming pool, great atmosphere around the site. The kids enjoyed riding the buggies around the site. Loved that it catered for families by having a noise curfew. Entertainment laid on at the bar was good fun - boys especially enjoyed the karaoke! Fresh bread from a nearby bakery was extremely good indeed!

Really welcoming site, of the 2 we stayed at this holiday, all of us think this was the better.

The visiting stalls of wine and charcuterie were a lovely surprise.

    Disliked:

On-site shop was prohibitively expensive for essentials such as milk. WiFi being chargeable and not free was disappointing.

Campsite supposed to be quiet after 10pm, however there were organised activities such as music at the bar finishing after 11pm????? Wifi is not worth the money you have to pay for, the 'family' pass cost 34 euros for a week, yet still only allows 3 devices to be used! 1 main toilet block means they do get heavily used, never found really bad, but could do with more frequent cleaning at peak usage
