For starters, just look at that peaceful green space. And you'll probably want to hear about the on-site fishing and rather fabulous locale of this Lower Normandy and Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel site too: it's close to Mont Saint-Michel and its famed monastery, the sandy beaches of Manche, the coastal resort and gardens of Granville, and boat trips to the lovely little islands of Chausey… how well placed you'll be. Set on 12 acres of space a few kilometres from Saint-Pair-sur-Mer, Château de Lez-Eaux welcomes families and groups to a friendly, well-appointed and relaxing site. The site is family-run, with stacks to do for all ages among its amiable atmosphere: if your littlies don't fancy the summer kids' club, they can learn to cast off at the handsome fishing pond or expend any extra energy at the tennis and pétanque courts, play area and games room. For time by the water, the site has a heated outdoor pool (open from mid May to the beginning of September) with small river rapids and a hot tub. There's also an indoor pool open from the beginning of April to the beginning of September. Much time should of course be spent lounging around the pretty sundeck, or perhaps venturing around the grounds by foot or pedal for gentle and secluded hours… A bar and restaurant are on site to keep you all fuelled up: there's a takeaway with different daily specials and you can bag fresh bread and pastries along with other groceries at the site shop. Tuesday evenings in high season see a visiting market arrive to sell fresh local produce.

Liked Loved this campsite as it had a wonderful swimming pool, animals, fishing and lots lots more. We could order our baguette’s had pastries to pick up from the shop in the morning.
Mont St Michael is close by (40 minutes) which was a lovely day out too.
Thoroughly recommend!

Disliked The only criticism was the water was often cold when washing your dishes!

Liked Lovely campsite with great amenities. Perfect for young families with a well stocked shop, great bouncy castle area and lovely park. The indoor pool was brilliant too. Toilets were very clean

Liked Swimming pools and facilities were brilliant for kids and adults too. Very clean site. 5 min drive to a big supermarket.
Kids club is amazing for the kids. My Little one loved it.
Pitches nice and level and never too far to get water.

Disliked The on site shop was really really basic but the super market close by made that better.

Liked Loved the pool, hot showers and entertainment. Clean facilities and very well kept site.

Disliked The reception area had a bit of an odd atmosphere. We felt like we were intruding when we walked in. Avoided it as much as possible and plucked straws as to who would go an ask a question.

Local attractions

Château de Lez-Eaux's setting should sort you out for whichever flavour of Normandy holiday you're after; if you seek yet more northern France adventures, it's about an hour and 15 minutes' drive to Saint-Malo and the Brittany coast too. The closest sandy beach is about four kilometres away, at the park's local town of Saint-Pair-sur-Mer. Begin your Normandy wanderings with some time at the surrounding Mont Saint-Michel Bay or Baie du mont Saint-Michel, between Brittany and the Normandy peninsula of Cotentin, and a setting so splendid it's a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Birdwatching and seal spotting are popular picks around these waters, as is a trip to the world-famed Mont Saint-Michel (40 minutes' drive) island and its monastery. Mont Saint-Michel is reachable at low tide from Granville (15 minutes), well worth a day or two in itself for its wide golden sandy beach, its art deco casino and, for fashionistas, the gardens and the 19th-century Villa les Rhumbs where Christian Dior and his family spent their summers.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
