  • Peaceful campsite 15 minutes' walk from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path
  • Marloes Sands 15 minutes' drive; Manorbier 40 minutes
  • Centred around two large wildlife ponds; well-behaved dogs welcome
Want to be within walking distance of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path? Foxglove Campsite in the small hamlet of Talbenny is a peaceful family-friendly spot roughly a mile from the coast, with spacious pitches centred around two wildlife-rich nature ponds. Creatures like mallards, moorhens and a kingfisher are regular visitors here, alongside dragonflies and at least one otter. The site has been designed to feel as wild as possible without compromising on comfort, allowing guests to be immersed in nature after busy days exploring the nearby coast. The site is accessed via a stone track, with shared toilet and shower facilities and a space for washing up. There are also numerous communal seating areas, including one that's sheltered for rainy days. Firepits are available to hire and logs can be bought on site. Dogs are very welcome at Foxglove Campsite, but please make sure that they're kept on leads. As this is a family-friendly campsite, big groups and large parties should look elsewhere for everyone's benefit. Campfires are allowed in the designated areas, but if you're having a sing-song or stargazing session please wind things down by 10pm when quiet hours come into effect.

What customers say

Reviewers consistently praise the peaceful, natural setting and the exceptionally friendly and helpful owner, Andrew, who goes above and beyond. Guests appreciate the spacious pitches, clean facilities (including hot showers), and proximity to beaches and coastal walks. While the approach to the site is described by some as rustic, this does not detract from the overall positive experience, with many eager to return.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The site is really well situated close to Little Haven and Broad Haven and not too far from Haverfordwest for a larger supermarket. My sat nav took me straight to the gate and from there I just followed the road down then called the owner to confirm that it was pick your own pitch.

The owner was really friendly, checking that I had everything I needed. He collects and drops off ice packs which is handy. The toilets and shower were always clean and the shower was big enough to shower myself and my two young children so that was a win.

Disliked Not a dislike as such but just to note that if you’re an adult by yourself that you access the site by opening and closing two gates. So I had to keep hopping in and out of the car on the approach. As a few reviewers have mentioned the drive up is a little run down with old buildings (believe it was used as a old army base) but the site itself is so friendly so don’t let that put you off.

Perhaps one larger welcome sign once you’re into the main area to point out the fields would be handy as I couldn’t work out where the second camping field was at first. But this is just being super picky as we would return in a heart beat.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked This camp site is brilliant and ticked every single box for us. Easy to find, satnav took us straight there. It's set back from the road, down an old farm track. Several separate fields giving us loads of choice as to where to set up, with Andrew, the owner, letting us choose for ourselves.
Clean loos, hot showers, plenty of room so although it was busy when we arrived (a good sign) it was in no way overcrowded.
Peaceful, chilled, with a lovely gentle touch from Andrew who was really helpful and knowledgeable about his site and the local area in general.
Dog friendly, child friendly with the promise of an undercover communal area for rainy days and down-time in place next year, we will definitely be returning.
Highly recommended.

Disliked That we had to go home.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Really enjoyed our stay at foxglove camping we booked two pitch spots with some of my friends, family and partner there was plenty of space to have a bit of privacy from other campers and the owner Andrew was extremely friendly and a chilled guy the toilets and shower area was close by and clean and tidy made many fun memories just over a night stay
It was also very close to lush beaches in the area and some lush local pubs but we did drive about 8 minutes to them if that
Sadly only photos I have is from the local beach

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked Loved this campsite. Laid back & friendly owner who made us feel at home, a few options to camp on different areas/fields for more privacy, clean porcelain toilets & shower. Reviews suggested campsite was difficult to find but we found it first time, I liked that it was quite rustic and through a closed gate we had to open.
