  • Adults-only hardstanding pitches on an organic working farm
  • A 10-minute drive to Newgale surf beach; 20 minutes to St Davids
  • Overlooking open countryside, five miles from the Pembrokeshire coast
Peaceful Pembrokeshire pitches, and a pretty handy location – that’s the excellent mix on offer at Keeston Camping, just off the A487 midway between Haverfordwest and Newgale. This site is part of an organic farm in the gorgeous Pembrokeshire countryside, and caters for motorhomes and campervans only on well-kept hardstanding pitches. Park your rolling home here and you should be in for a quiet and chilled-out stay: it’s an adults-only setup, so you won’t find yourselves stumbling over any kids around the place (you’re welcome to bring dogs along though, as long as you keep them on a lead). This is a great spot to settle in for outdoor activities too: it’s close to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, beaches for surfing and horse riding, and days of other antics including coasteering. A UK National Cycle Network cycle path runs directly past the site entrance, so it's also well-suited to cyclists and triathletes who'd like to train in Pembrokeshire (or just go out for a bit of a bike ride…) The pitches here have fab views over open countryside, and access to amenities including a washing-up area and a modern log cabin with luxurious washroom facilities (described by one appreciative previous guest as ‘the best facilities ever’, no less). For food, the closest pub is just over a mile away, and there are plenty of amenities in Haverfordwest (including places to pick up supplies for your barbecue).

Fully-serviced hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Wonderful peaceful site with lovely owners.
Exceptionally clean facilities and fully serviced pitches.
There was a little road noise during the day although it wasn't noticeable during the evening and night.
Great little enclosed dog field at the bottom of the lane.
Nice and central to all attractions in Pembrokeshire.

Disliked Needs a shelf in shower to hold shampoo, soap etc.

Liked Spacious fully serviced pitches, spotlessly clean facilities, lovely views, friendly hosts. Bus stop about a 10 minute walk away in Keeston village. We have been staying here every year since 2021 and we have to say it is one of our favourite campsites.

Local attractions

Looking for your first stop on the coast? St Brides Bay and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path are close by, as are local beaches including Newgale, Broad Haven, Little Haven, Nolton Haven and Druidston (all within 20 minutes’ drive). Whitesands is just slightly further afield at about 25 minutes’ drive, but well worth the trip if you’re into your surfing. Of course, the splendid St Davids (20 minutes) is a must-visit for its spectacular cathedral and Bishop’s Palace; the trip there is boosted further by making a stop in the pretty fishing village of Solva en route. From St Davids, you may wish to take a boat trip to Ramsey Island to see the wildlife that lives along its shoreline. If watersports are more to your liking, book a coasteering outing from St Davids, or check out the offerings in Dale (half an hour) and Llys-y-frân (25 minutes) – bodyboarding at Marloes Sands in the former perhaps, or sailing, kayaking, canoeing, and all sorts at the latter. With cycling trails around Llys-y-frân and adventures on land including archery, a climbing wall and axe throwing, active types will be in their element.
