  • Under 15 minutes' drive from Aberystwyth
  • Outdoor heated pool, playground and games lounge
What a beaut. And it's an award-winner too: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around on the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor summer pool and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team are on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

Kestrel clifftop fully-serviced hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch

Liked Loved the site and staff fabulous

Disliked The cliff top motorhome pitches lacking in picnic table.

From the manager: Hi Michelle,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🌟 We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the spectacular views and found our staff to be fabulous. Your kind words mean a lot to us.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the cliff top motorhome pitches. We're always looking for ways to improve, and your suggestion about adding picnic tables has been explored, we think smaller seating as the pitch does not have much spare room for a picnic bench. We're certainly always looking at ways to upgrade.

We hope to welcome you back soon for another great stay!

Osprey fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked Lovely, quiet, and well-kept holiday park with stunning sea views.
The whole site was spotless and well maintained. There’s a great play area for kids, a handy launderette, and a little shop on site for essentials. The facilities were excellent and very clean.

Although we didn’t use the swimming pool, it's a fantastic option to have. We especially loved the easy access to the rocky beach, where we found some fascinating sea creatures in the rockpools.

The pitches aren’t the largest, but they’re a good size — enough to enjoy our getaway. We travelled with a touring caravan, and to get a sea view, we needed to turn it around. Unfortunately, our motor mover wasn’t working, so we originally parked it the standard way, but then our pipes were too short for the fully serviced pitch setup.

Thankfully, with help from some kind fellow guests, we managed to turn the caravan around after all.
The staff were very welcoming, and we knew we could have asked for assistance if we needed it — they were always approachable and friendly.

From the manager: Hi Inga R,

Thank you for your lovely review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our holiday park and appreciated the stunning sea views, cleanliness, and well-maintained facilities. It's great to know that your family had a good time, especially with the play area and the fascinating rockpools at the beach.

We're glad that our friendly staff and fellow guests could assist you with your caravan setup. We hope to welcome you back soon for another enjoyable stay!

From the manager: Hi Louise,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us in June 2025. It's fantastic to know that you appreciated the site's location, cleanliness, and the breathtaking views. Our team works hard to ensure every guest feels welcome and well taken care of, so your kind words mean a lot to us.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding the shop size. We're always looking for ways to improve our facilities and services, and your suggestion will certainly be taken into consideration.

Osprey fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked The views were amazing.
The site was clean and tidy
playground had plenty for the kids to play on and keep them entertained.
Toilets cleaned regularly
Pool was lovely

Disliked Not the campsite or within their control, the beach is very rugged, more of a rugged coastline.
The games room is very dated, needs updating, possibly a table tennis, air hockey, and new pool cues. There was a TV to watch, but you needed to get to the sofa and watch together. No chill-out area for older kids.
The on-site shop closed at 5pm with no option to use a vending service.
Wi-Fi is not included in the price.
Dogs wandering around off the lead, running up to tents and aggressively barking at other site users.
Toilets, showers and washing facilities need modernising
Osprey pitch was rock-hard, even though we were told it was a tent pitch, it must have been a hard standing pitch before

From the manager: **Thank you for your feedback, Dunc M.!**

We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the views, cleanliness, and facilities like the playground and pool during your stay. We appreciate your positive comments about our efforts to maintain a tidy and family-friendly environment.

We apologize for the issues you encountered. The rugged coastline is indeed a natural feature beyond our control, but we understand it may not suit everyone's preferences. We're currently in the planning stages for new developments, including modernizing our washrooms and updating the games room. We have noted your suggestions for table tennis, air hockey, and new pool cues.

Regarding the on-site shop, our opening hours are from 8am until 6pm and Wi-Fi, is an optional extra as a lot of phone providers signal is reasonably good in most areas. We also regret the inconvenience caused by dogs off-lead had we been made aware at the time this could have been stopped immediately.

Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We are always trying to improve our methods and facilities and also our positive experience to all of our customers.

Best regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
