What a stunning place: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, which is on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking the stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as the famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around at the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor pool (open during high season only) and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team is on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

What customers say

Visitors praise the spectacular sea views and peaceful atmosphere at this well-maintained site. The staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Facilities, including the swimming pool and playground, are generally considered clean and enjoyable, though some note the washrooms are dated and await upgrading. The clifftop location offers direct beach access and scenic walks, but the narrow access road can be challenging for some. The shop offers basic essentials.

Red Kite fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Stunning sea views. Good size pitches with EHU and water. We found the staff to be lovely and friendly and very helpful. The toilets and showers were spotless, don’t think I have been on a site that cleaned them as much as they did here! Lovely walk into Aberystwyth on the costal path, the last hill into town is very steep going down which made for a big steep walk back up!!! Walked off the cake!! And the views were worth it!

Disliked Very remote so needed to use van to get about.

From the manager: Hi Lesley,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely 9/10 review and for recommending Morfa Bychan Holiday Park.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the stunning sea views, spacious fully serviced pitch and the friendliness of our team. It's especially pleasing to know that our housekeeping team made such a positive impression. They work incredibly hard to maintain the facilities throughout the day, and they'll be thrilled to hear their efforts were noticed and appreciated.

It sounds as though you made the most of the coastal path into Aberystwyth as well. We agree, that final hill certainly provides a workout on the way back, but the views along the route are well worth the effort.

Thank you also for your comments regarding our location. One of the things many guests love most about Morfa Bychan is its peaceful and secluded clifftop setting, away from busy roads and built-up areas. As shown on our listing, maps and local area information, the park is intentionally quite remote, which helps create the tranquillity and spectacular scenery that make it so special. We always encourage guests to have a look at the local area before booking to ensure the location is the right fit for the type of holiday they're looking for.

Thank you again for your kind feedback. We hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon.

Kind regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team 🌊😊

Red Kite fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked The view is great

Disliked Building work going on
Tractors and a large Excavator digging up the grounds next to the pitches
We had to leave due to a family issue but these issues made it an easy decision this time - we let them k law we were leaving early but they offered no refund of our unused stay remaining. With thought for our circumstances - it would have been nice to have the refund offered - real shame that these little things will prevent our return

From the manager: Hi Phil,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Firstly, we'd like to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your family member. We appreciate that this was a difficult time for you and your family.

We would, however, like to provide some additional context regarding the points raised in your review. During your stay, improvement work took place for a short period over one of your four days on park, involving our excavator as part of ongoing investment in guest facilities. The new washroom building is currently under construction, although much of the work at present is internal, including plasterboarding, with limited visible activity unless specifically looking towards the building area rather than enjoying the sea views and surrounding scenery.

We were sorry that this affected your experience and, as discussed, we offered a goodwill credit for the remainder of the 2026 season through to the end of November. As bookings for 2027 are not yet available, we were unable to extend this into next year at the time.

We appreciate your feedback and wish you and your family all the best during this difficult period.

Kind regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

From the manager: Hi Kathryn,

Thank you for your wonderful 10/10 review.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay in the Sunset Strip caravan and that you found both the caravan and its location spectacular. The views from this area of the park are truly special, so it's lovely to know you were able to make the most of them during your visit.

We really appreciate your kind recommendation and are pleased that your holiday with friends was such a positive experience. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon for another relaxing stay by the coast.

Kestrel clifftop fully-serviced hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch (no awning)

Liked Lovely site, good facilities. Very clean. Nice little games room to keep the kids entertained during the bad weather that we had.

Disliked The distance to the toilet block was quite far from our pitch but that’s on us for booking the part of the site that we did. Would know in future to book further up the site. Also didnt really like the cliff top pitch as we went during stormy weather and it was quite scary being so close to the edge 😂

From the manager: Hi Samantha,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely 9/10 review and for recommending Morfa Bychan Holiday Park.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the stunning views, clean facilities and family-friendly atmosphere. It's great to know that the games room helped keep the children entertained during the less-than-perfect weather, and we're especially pleased to hear your kind comments about both our cleaning team and reception staff. We'll be sure to pass your feedback on to them, as they'll be thrilled to know their hard work was noticed.

Thank you also for your comments regarding the distance to the washroom facilities. The Kestrel pitches are among our most popular pitches due to their spectacular clifftop views and are fully serviced, meaning most guests staying there tend to use their onboard facilities for showering, washing and day-to-day convenience, only needing to visit the facilities building occasionally. For guests who prefer being closer to the amenities, we're always happy to help recommend a pitch in a different area of the park when booking.

We also had to smile at your comments about the clifftop pitch during the stormy weather! While many guests love the dramatic sea views from those pitches, they can certainly feel a little more adventurous when the Welsh weather decides to put on a performance.

Thank you again for your wonderful feedback. We hope to welcome you and your family back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon.

Pool is lovely and warm, undercover and very safe.

Toilets were cleaned and smelt of bleach all of time.

Staff very friendly and would always acknowledge or say good morning.

Our team will be especially pleased to hear your kind comments about their friendliness and the warm welcome they provided throughout your stay.

We're also grateful for your understanding regarding the shower facilities. As you mentioned, our new washroom and facilities building is currently under construction, and we're excited about the improvements it will bring for our guests in the near future.

Kestrel clifftop fully-serviced hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch (no awning)

Liked The view is beautiful (Kestrel pitch 5) the staff were so lovely and friendly, the pool is great for families and the games room is fabulous for a rainy day.

Disliked The drive up to the campsite is a little tight, we met two cars coming back down and had to reverse back about 500 yards, although when you get there it’s totally worth it! The toilets are limited and dated BUT are spotlessly clean and the site is building a new shower block which looks amazing 🤩

From the manager: Hi Shaun,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your lovely review, and for scoring your stay 9/10. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful views from Kestrel pitch 5, and that our team helped make your stay feel welcoming — it’s always great to hear such kind feedback.

It’s wonderful to know your family enjoyed the pool and found the games room a good spot for a rainy day. We’re also really pleased that you appreciated the cleanliness of the park and the friendly atmosphere.

Regarding the access road, you’re absolutely right that one of the lanes can feel narrow. We always recommend guests use the drive down to the holiday park, as this is the wider route with proper passing places. Some sat‑navs occasionally send visitors up the tighter lane instead, which can feel a bit challenging, but the correct route is clearly signposted and much easier.

As for the facilities, thank you for noting their cleanliness. We’re currently investing in a brand‑new washroom building, which is already underway and will provide modern, upgraded facilities for future seasons.

Thank you again for your lovely comments. We’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon.

Warm regards,

Liked Good welcome on arrival, shown to the pitch which was better than we expected. Very central with the park Infront of us for the kids to run off to and we could watch from the van. Amazing views. Already planning our next trip up next month.

Disliked Only thing I disliked was the leak my van had developed during heavy rain which is nothing to do with the site.

From the manager: Hi Richard,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a fantastic 10/10 review and for recommending Morfa Bychan Holiday Park.

We're delighted to hear that you received a warm welcome on arrival and that the pitch exceeded your expectations. It's great to know that the location worked so well for your family, allowing the children to enjoy the play area while you could keep an eye on them from the comfort of your motorhome.

We're especially pleased that you enjoyed the spectacular views, which are one of the things that make Morfa Bychan such a special place to stay. Thank you also for sharing your sense of humour regarding the leak in your van during the heavy rain. While we're sorry the Welsh weather put your motorhome to the test, we're glad it didn't spoil your holiday!

It's wonderful to hear that you're already planning a return visit next month. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park for another enjoyable stay.

From the manager: Hi Howard,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a 10/10 review and for recommending Morfa Bychan Holiday Park. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the spectacular views and made good use of our free enclosed dog exercise area. These are two of the features that many of our guests, especially those travelling with dogs, appreciate most during their stay.

We note your comment regarding the beach. As a natural shingle and pebble beach, this is something beyond our control, and we do make this clear in our park information and booking details so guests know what to expect before arriving. Many visitors enjoy the coastal walks, scenery and direct beach access, although we understand that beach preferences can vary from person to person.

Thank you again for your review. We're pleased you enjoyed your stay overall and hope to welcome you and your four-legged companion back to Morfa Bychan again soon.

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
