What a stunning place: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, which is on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking the stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as the famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around at the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor pool (open during high season only) and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team is on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

What customers say

Awesome coastal views and neat grounds get a tick, as do the helpful staff. Great facilities include a ripper pool and playground, plus direct beach access. A bit of a tight road in and the showers are a bit old-school (getting fixed), but everyone loves it and most are keen to come back.

From the manager: Hi Bill,

Thank you for your fantastic 10/10 review and for taking the time to share your feedback.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed our clifftop location and were able to spot some of the wonderful wildlife that makes this area so special. Seeing kestrels, buzzards and even dolphins can make a stay truly memorable, and we're pleased you were able to experience that during your visit.

Thank you also for your kind comment describing Morfa Bychan as a good clean family site. Our team takes great pride in maintaining high standards across the park, so it's always rewarding to receive such positive feedback.

We appreciate your comments regarding the access road. As many guests will know, our spectacular coastal location comes with a traditional rural approach road, and while the passing places do help, we understand that it can feel a little narrow at first. Thankfully, most visitors find that the views waiting at the end make the journey worthwhile.

Thank you again for your recommendation and support. We hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon.

Warm regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

From the manager: Hi Stuart,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for choosing to stay with us. We were pleased to see that you enjoyed your visit overall and, more importantly, that you’ll be returning to Morfa Bychan again soon. Returning guests are always greatly appreciated.

One aspect of your review did catch our attention: the cleanliness score. We take enormous pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards across the park, and it's always a little concerning for us when we don't receive full marks in this area. Our team works hard every day to keep the facilities, grounds and accommodation spotless for our guests.

If there were any particular areas that fell short of your expectations, we would be genuinely grateful if you could let us know. Whether it was the amenities, the grounds, or something else entirely, specific feedback helps us investigate and make improvements where needed.

As you're returning soon, we'd especially welcome the opportunity to address any concerns before or during your next stay. Please don't hesitate to speak with the team while you're on site, as we'd much rather resolve any issues there and then and ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible.

Thank you again for your feedback and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon and hopefully earning a perfect score across the board next time.

Warm regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

From the manager: Hi Olivia,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your 8/10 rating. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the playground and the stunning views during your stay. The coastal scenery is one of the things our guests love most about Morfa Bychan, and we're glad it helped make your visit enjoyable.

We do have to admit we're a little puzzled by the overall score, particularly as no dislikes were mentioned and your comments were positive. We always welcome constructive feedback, as it helps us understand where improvements can be made and how we can make future stays even better for our guests.

Thank you again for choosing Morfa Bychan Holiday Park and for recommending us to others. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and perhaps earn those extra two points next time.

From the manager: Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views, the family‑friendly atmosphere and the great location — these are things many of our guests love most about Morfa Bychan.

We did notice your overall score of 5/10, which feels a little surprising given the positive comments you shared. We always encourage guests to have a quick read through our full description before booking, as we try to be very clear and upfront about the layout of the park, the facilities available and the nature of our clifftop setting. A little research beforehand can make a big difference in choosing the right park for each guest’s needs.

We also pride ourselves on maintaining extremely high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the site, so whenever we see a lower score in that area it does catch our attention. Our team works hard every day to keep the park looking its best, and feedback is always appreciated.

Thank you again for your visit — we’re glad you enjoyed the views and facilities, and we hope your next stay will reflect the full experience Morfa Bychan aims to offer.

Disliked Signal service is not the best on EE

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi Liam,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and share your feedback.

We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall. We appreciate your comments regarding the mobile signal and understand how important reliable connectivity can be while away.

The park management team have used EE for several years and generally find that it provides the strongest coverage, with a good 5G signal available across most areas of the park. During the past couple of weeks, however, the combination of exceptionally hot weather and a significant increase in visitors to the area has occasionally affected network performance, which may explain the issues you experienced.

Thank you again for your feedback. We value all guest comments as they help set expectations for future visitors, and we hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon.

Kestrel clifftop fully-serviced concrete and grass motorhome site (no awning)

Liked Loved the location. There’s a narrow road leading down to the site which might cause you to wonder what awaits given its seeming remoteness. However, everything looks incredibly well cared for with fantastic views across the whole area.
The flowers, shrubs and trees show real care and attention, there are amazing hillside slopes over which red kites and buzzards float and the pitches are set out to maximise the views across the coast.
The amenities were great, clean and accessible, although the showers could run a little longer. However, perhaps that’s not a bad thing with there being drought like conditions this summer.
The children’s play area clearly appealed to the little ones and we were treated to an amazing sunset.

Disliked There has been some delay to a new facility being constructed and that looks out of place in an otherwise immaculate place.

From the manager: Hi Iain,

Thank you for your wonderful 10/10 review and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your stay with us. We're delighted to hear that you loved our location and enjoyed the spectacular views across the coastline. It's especially pleasing to know that you appreciated the care that goes into maintaining the park's flowers, shrubs and grounds, as our team works hard to keep Morfa Bychan looking its best. We’re also glad you were able to enjoy the local wildlife and one of our famous sunsets during your visit.

We're pleased that you found the facilities clean, accessible and well maintained. Thank you for your comments regarding the shower timers. As you rightly noted, water conservation is becoming increasingly important, particularly during the exceptionally dry conditions we've experienced this summer.

We also appreciate your understanding regarding the new amenities building. Unfortunately, delays outside our control have extended the construction programme, but we're excited about the improvements it will bring once completed. We agree that it will be a welcome addition to complement the high standards found throughout the rest of the park.

Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. We hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon.

Thank you for your fantastic 10/10 review and for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you had another successful stay and enjoyed the excellent service, well-maintained swimming pool, your static caravan and the cleanliness of the park.

It was a pleasure to welcome you and your family back once again. As returning guests over a number of years, your continued support means a great deal to us, and we truly appreciate the loyalty you have shown to Morfa Bychan. We were pleased that we were able to upgrade your booking from the original hardstanding pitch due to the building works and that the alternative accommodation helped make your stay even more enjoyable.

Thank you also for your private feedback. Simple comments like "Thanks :)" always put a smile on our faces and remind the team why we work so hard to make every visit a memorable one.

Buzzard fully-serviced grass and gravel caravan site

Liked It's a, beautiful stay we go yearly when we can the grounds and site are very well maintained and the staff lovely and helpful. The view of the sea from your caravan is stunning and makes waking up there a dream it's so relaxing. And the mini private beach is only a few steps away to go and have a ittle explore. The Town is only a, few mins drive away and has the main beach and everything you could want and the prices are low just try to rem to take cash to support the small businesses. The pool and amenities on site are brilliant and very clean, the pool warm and has the life guard to. There's even a, little shop on site for your essentials to. Me and Phil will be back as always it's our zen place.

Disliked Nothing to dislike about it at all only point we recomend is to have adult only hours for the swimming pool say 6pm to 8pm maybe? so adults can get a swim in to maybe the pool could have keycode to access it after 6pm to 8pm for safty?

From the manager: Hi Pixie,

Thank you so much for your lovely review and for choosing to stay with us again — it’s always a pleasure to welcome returning guests, and we’re delighted to hear that Morfa Bychan continues to be your “zen place”.

We really appreciate your suggestion regarding adult‑only swimming hours. We completely understand why some guests enjoy quieter swim times, and it’s always helpful to hear what people would like to see.

At the moment, however, we aren’t able to introduce separate swimming sessions or different access times for adults, children or specific groups. Our pool timetable is designed around lifeguard availability, water‑quality management and the need to ensure a consistent, predictable schedule for all holidaymakers staying close to the pool. These factors mean our opening and closing times have to remain the same for everyone.

That said, we’re glad you found the pool warm, clean and enjoyable during your stay, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Feedback like yours helps us understand what guests value most and what they’d love to see in the future.

Thank you again for your kind words and your continued support — we look forward to welcoming you and Phil back soon for another relaxing break by the sea.

Warm regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
