  • Under 15 minutes' drive from Aberystwyth
  • Playground and games lounge on site; direct pebble beach access
What a stunning place: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, which is on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking the stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as the famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around at the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor pool (open during high season only) and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team is on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

What customers say

Awesome sea views, neat grounds & legend staff are a hit! Spacious sites, handy services. Pool & dog run a bonus. A few mention older loos & a tight road in, but most find it peaceful & are keen to come back. Good ongoing work happening!

Buzzard fully-serviced grass and gravel caravan site

Liked The staff were very friendly and work hard keeping it clean and tidy, the toilets and showers were immaculate. The wooded area and dog walk were great our dog enjoyed them. It was a shame the weather wasn’t better.

Disliked The beach is very rocky and hard to walk on.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Lesley for leaving you review for us. All comments are very much appreciated, we always have something talk about when the weather is not what we were expecting.
So glad you made it to the beach, not many people appreciate the Wales coatline has a varying landscape of sand and rocky beaches, especially the Cardigan bay coastline.

Look forward to seeing you again.

Thank you for your review and for your helpful feedback—it’s really appreciated.
We’re pleased you’ve taken the time to highlight this, and I’m happy to say that what you’ve mentioned is very much part of our ongoing development plans for the park. While we’re not quite at the stage of having a full restaurant just yet, we are currently working towards introducing a coffee corner and also expanding our shop facilities to offer a wider range of items for our guests.
We’re continually investing in improvements to make stays even more enjoyable, so it’s great to know these additions would be of interest.

Kestrel clifftop fully-serviced concrete and grass motorhome site (no awning)

Liked Beautiful spot. Great facilities, helpful friendly staff. We were on a Kestrel pitch which is right on the cliff edge with full sea view. Just stunning

Disliked Nothing, but note once off main road the access roads are narrow with passing places

From the manager: Hi Joanne,
Thank you so much for your wonderful review 😊
We’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay with us, especially the Kestrel pitch and those stunning cliff‑top sea views — they really are something special!
It’s also great to know our facilities and team helped make your visit such a positive one — your kind comments mean a lot to us all.
Thank you as well for mentioning the access roads. As you noted, they can be a little narrow in places, but there are passing points along the way and it all adds to the charm of our more rural, coastal location.
We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we hope to welcome you back again very soon.

Cormorant powered grass tent or trailer tent site (sloping)

Liked Nothing

Disliked No warning on the camping area always windy year round

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear Ryan,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.
We’re sorry to hear that you were unable to proceed with your stay. From our records, it appears that your visit was unfortunately affected by adverse weather conditions, and that you were unable to erect your tent.
As a result, we feel that the experience described in your review does not reflect the park itself or the facilities we provide, as you did not stay on site. While we fully understand how disappointing weather-related disruptions can be, decisions regarding travel and camping conditions are ultimately the responsibility of guests, including checking weather forecasts prior to arrival.
We do always aim to provide a well-maintained, welcoming environment for our visitors, and we encourage guests to contact us ahead of arrival if they have any concerns about conditions so we can offer guidance where possible.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you better luck with the weather on your future trips.
Kind regards,

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
