What a stunning place: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, which is on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking the stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as the famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around at the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor pool (open during high season only) and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team is on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

Peregrine fully-serviced gravel motorhome site (no awning)

Liked Absolutely stunning campsite. Stayed on a peregrine pitch which was fully serviced and had an amazing view (when it wasn't pouring with rain).

The facilities were spotless and and the shower/ toilet block was warm and the water was hot to have a shower. They even have free washing machines and one tumble dryer which I just thought was amazing.

We spent a couple of hours in the pool which was warm and very clean....and again free. There are changing facilities and toilets right next to the pool.

We didn't use the games room but did have a walk through again it was spotlessly clean had two pool tables and air hockey table....all games were £1 I think ans they had plenty of books and a TV to keep you entertained. They also had several electrical sockets dotted around with usb charges to be able to charge your devices while you chill on the sofas.

From the manager: Thank you, Alison, for your fantastic review and for sharing your wonderful photos with us!

We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay on one of our Peregrine pitches and that you were able to appreciate the stunning views, even between the rain showers. It's great to know that our facilities, pool, and amenities helped make your stay such an enjoyable one.

We're particularly pleased that you found the shower block, games room, and pool area spotlessly clean, as our team works hard to maintain high standards across the park. It's also lovely to hear that the complimentary washing machines and swimming pool were such a positive surprise and added extra value to your stay.

Thank you for highlighting the family-friendly features around the park, from the games room to the comfortable communal spaces. Feedback like yours means a great deal to us and helps future guests understand what they can expect when staying at Morfa Bychan.

We really appreciate your recommendation and are delighted that there was nothing to dislike about your visit. We hope to welcome you and your family back again soon, hopefully with a little more sunshine next time!

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay on our Peregrine pitch and appreciated the privacy hedges, picnic bench, and spacious layout. It's also great to know that our complimentary laundry facilities, clean shower blocks, and friendly team helped make your visit even more enjoyable. We work hard to keep the park well maintained, so your comments are very rewarding to hear.

Thank you also for your feedback regarding the shop. As we're in a more rural location, we do recommend guests bring any essential items with them, although we'll continue to review our shop offering where possible.

We're pleased you enjoyed your stay and that we were able to move you to a more suitable pitch due to the weather. It's also great to hear you found the facilities clean and that you would recommend us to others.

Regarding the WiFi, this is available as an optional paid service. While we provide a fridge/freezer and laundry facilities for campers, we do not advertise a camp kitchen or communal cooking area. Our on-site shop stocks a range of essentials including tea, coffee, soup and other food items that campers can purchase during their stay.

From the manager: Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your fantastic 10/10 review and for recommending Morfa Bychan Holiday Park.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated everything our park has to offer, from the spectacular sea views and peaceful atmosphere to the cleanliness of the site and the friendliness of our team. It's always rewarding to receive feedback from guests whose experience matches exactly what Morfa Bychan is designed to provide.

One thing we find particularly interesting is that the features most frequently praised by our guests are the very same features highlighted throughout our website, photographs, maps and booking information. Our clifftop coastal location, stunning scenery, peaceful setting and remote position are all key characteristics of the park and are often the reasons guests choose to stay with us in the first place.

With over 800 reviews and the vast majority of guests rating their stay highly, it's clear that guests who take the time to research the park beforehand generally find that the experience matches their expectations perfectly.

Thank you again for your kind comments. We're delighted that Morfa Bychan delivered the relaxing break you were looking for, and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

From the manager: Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your wonderful 10/10 review and for recommending Morfa Bychan Holiday Park.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated your gravel pitch, complete with its picnic bench, services and, of course, those stunning sea views. The peaceful atmosphere and spectacular coastal setting are exactly what many guests come here to enjoy, so it's lovely to know we delivered that experience for you.

It's also great to hear that you found the location ideal for visiting Aberystwyth while still enjoying the tranquillity of a clifftop holiday park away from the hustle and bustle.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. We hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon for another relaxing stay by the sea.

Red Kite fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked Stunning sea views. Good size pitches with EHU and water. We found the staff to be lovely and friendly and very helpful. The toilets and showers were spotless, don’t think I have been on a site that cleaned them as much as they did here! Lovely walk into Aberystwyth on the costal path, the last hill into town is very steep going down which made for a big steep walk back up!!! Walked off the cake!! And the views were worth it!

Disliked Very remote so needed to use van to get about.

From the manager: Hi Lesley,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely 9/10 review and for recommending Morfa Bychan Holiday Park.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the stunning sea views, spacious fully serviced pitch and the friendliness of our team. It's especially pleasing to know that our housekeeping team made such a positive impression. They work incredibly hard to maintain the facilities throughout the day, and they'll be thrilled to hear their efforts were noticed and appreciated.

It sounds as though you made the most of the coastal path into Aberystwyth as well. We agree, that final hill certainly provides a workout on the way back, but the views along the route are well worth the effort.

Thank you also for your comments regarding our location. One of the things many guests love most about Morfa Bychan is its peaceful and secluded clifftop setting, away from busy roads and built-up areas. As shown on our listing, maps and local area information, the park is intentionally quite remote, which helps create the tranquillity and spectacular scenery that make it so special. We always encourage guests to have a look at the local area before booking to ensure the location is the right fit for the type of holiday they're looking for.

Thank you again for your kind feedback. We hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon.

Kind regards,

Cormorant powered grass tent or trailer tent site (sloping)

Liked Lovely scenery. The campsite is very scenic and kept clean.
The staff were kind.

Disliked There was a smell by the mens toilets, but toilets were very clean.
The site is inappropriate for tent pitching as its close to the cliff and very windy.
We had to cut our holiday short because of the high winds and speaking to some of the more permanent residents this seems to be the usual practice.
During our stay there we were told that 2 awnings were flown away due to high winds.
WiFi is 5£ per phone per day.

From the manager: Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the lovely scenery, found the park clean and felt our team were kind and helpful during your stay.

Regarding the weather, our clifftop coastal location is one of the key features that many guests choose Morfa Bychan for, and like any exposed coastal site, conditions can vary considerably depending on the forecast. We always recommend that tent campers check local weather conditions before travelling and ensure their equipment is suitable for the conditions expected.

We were surprised by the comment regarding a smell near the men's toilets. We carry out regular inspections and cleaning throughout the day, and no issues were reported to us during your stay. In fact, many recent reviews have specifically praised the cleanliness and freshness of our facilities.

We were also unable to verify the reports of awnings being blown away. No such incidents were reported to the management team during the period of your stay. While strong winds can occasionally affect any camping location, particularly coastal ones, we encourage all guests to pitch and secure their equipment appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions.

With regard to Wi-Fi, this is an optional service rather than a compulsory charge. Guests are free to choose whether they wish to purchase Wi-Fi access, and the pricing is clearly displayed before purchase.

Thank you again for your feedback. While we're sorry the weather impacted your holiday, we're pleased that you enjoyed the scenery, cleanliness and service provided by our team.

Kind regards,

We had to leave due to a family issue but these issues made it an easy decision this time - we let them k law we were leaving early but they offered no refund of our unused stay remaining. With thought for our circumstances - it would have been nice to have the refund offered - real shame that these little things will prevent our return

From the manager: Hi Phil,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Firstly, we'd like to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your family member. We appreciate that this was a difficult time for you and your family.

We would, however, like to provide some additional context regarding the points raised in your review. During your stay, improvement work took place for a short period over one of your four days on park, involving our excavator as part of ongoing investment in guest facilities. The new washroom building is currently under construction, although much of the work at present is internal, including plasterboarding, with limited visible activity unless specifically looking towards the building area rather than enjoying the sea views and surrounding scenery.

We were sorry that this affected your experience and, as discussed, we offered a goodwill credit for the remainder of the 2026 season through to the end of November. As bookings for 2027 are not yet available, we were unable to extend this into next year at the time.

We appreciate your feedback and wish you and your family all the best during this difficult period.

Kind regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
