  • Clifftop site with stunning sea views out towards Cardigan Bay
  • Under 15 minutes' drive from Aberystwyth
  • Playground and games lounge on site; direct pebble beach access
What a stunning place: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, which is on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking the stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as the famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around at the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor pool (open during high season only) and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team is on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

What customers say

This campsite boasts stunning sea views, with many pitches offering direct coastal vistas and spectacular sunsets. Visitors consistently praise the friendly and helpful staff, immaculate cleanliness of the site and facilities, and the excellent swimming pool. The park is well-maintained, dog-friendly, and offers direct beach access, though the beach is rocky. While the narrow access road is a recurring comment, most guests find the location and overall experience well worth the journey. Some minor points mention dated shower blocks and paid Wi-Fi, with plans for facility upgrades underway.

Thank you Rebecca & Richard for taking the time to leave such a detailed review, and for returning to stay with us again — we really do appreciate your continued support.
We’re delighted to hear that your first visit left such a strong impression and that you enjoyed the pitch size, views, swimming pool and overall facilities. It’s always great to welcome returning guests.
We’re sorry that the washroom upgrade works impacted your stay. All bookings were advised in advance that essential improvement work would be taking place during this period, including the construction of the new shower block, but we fully understand that early morning noise — particularly from machinery — is not ideal when you’re on holiday.
The current push‑button showers are part of the existing facilities and are one of the main reasons for the upgrade. The new block is being designed to improve water pressure and overall comfort — sometimes improvements mean short‑term inconvenience, but we’re careful to make these changes without breaking eggs, so to speak.
Thank you again for your understanding and your honest feedback. Once the new facilities are complete, we would love the opportunity to welcome you back for a more relaxed and uninterrupted stay.
Kind regards,
Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

Osprey fully-serviced grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Amazing site! My boys and I went there several times. Never disappointed us. Clean and well-kept, friendly staff and scenic views. We’ll be going back again soon. Highly recommended ;)

Disliked Nothing really.
Would have given 10/10 if there’s a shower room on the pool area.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that you and your boys have enjoyed your visits with us, and it’s lovely to know the clean facilities, friendly team, and scenic views keep you coming back. Your photos are fantastic too — thank you for sharing them.

Regarding your comment about a shower room by the pool, we really appreciate you mentioning it. All guests have access to our main washrooms, and holiday home owners also have their own private showers, which can be used before swimming. This is the only regulation we try to stick to as part of our pool‑use policy, just to help us keep the water quality high for everyone.

We’re so pleased you’d highly recommend us, and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon for another peaceful coastal break.

Warm regards,
**The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team**

Red Kite fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Fully serviced pitches, perfect

Disliked Choice of closed shower times

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: From the manager…

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the fully serviced Red Kite pitch and the coastal surroundings during your stay.

We do let all guests know on arrival that we have a resident badger population on the park. They’re harmless but very inquisitive, and they will happily help themselves to any food left accessible in awnings — so we always advise keeping things sealed and secured overnight.

Regarding the washrooms, the temporary closure you experienced was due to an unexpected water‑pressure issue. To restore normal pressure safely across the park, we had to shut the facilities for essential work. We appreciate this was inconvenient, and we agree that if water pressure drops suddenly, the block should be closed immediately — which is what the team did once the issue became clear.

With the games room, we do ask that children are supervised at all times. Unfortunately, when equipment is misused — such as chalk being pushed into the pool table, cues being damaged, or balls going missing — we have to remove items temporarily to prevent further damage and keep the facilities in good condition for everyone. We understand this can be frustrating, but it’s the only way to ensure the room remains usable for all guests.

Thank you again for your comments. We’re glad you enjoyed many aspects of your stay, and we hope the coastal views and peaceful setting still made for a memorable break.

Warm regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

Thank you so much Jayne for this wonderful review — it truly put smiles on our faces!
We’re delighted you found us and chose Morfa Bychan for your first visit. It’s great to hear how much you enjoyed the stunning sea views and sunsets — they really are something special, especially from our clifftop pitches. We love that you experienced both Buzzard and Kestrel and decided to extend your stay while you were here — that’s the biggest compliment we could receive.
Thank you for your kind words about our team, the cleanliness of the washrooms, and our dog‑friendly atmosphere. It sounds like both you and your three terriers had a fantastic time! We’re also pleased you found the on‑site shop handy and enjoyed the spacious mix of grass and gravel pitches.
We’re especially grateful for the lovely photos you’ve shared — they capture the spirit of the park beautifully and are a real treat for future guests to see.
We’re so glad you’ve already booked to return and can’t wait to welcome you back for another relaxing stay with us.

Cormorant electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (sloping)

Liked Great stunning ocean and sunset views❗️

Disliked The inclination of the pitch is too much than suitable for camping cozy❗️

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: From the manager…

Thank you very much for your review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the stunning ocean and sunset views — they really are one of the highlights of staying here, especially for guests who love being close to nature.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the slope on the Cormorant pitch. Some of our grass pitches do have a natural incline due to the coastal landscape, and while many guests enjoy the views that come with the elevation, we understand it can feel less cosy for certain camping setups. Your comments are helpful, and we’ll continue to review how we present these pitches so guests can choose the spot that suits them best.

Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another peaceful coastal break.

Kestrel clifftop fully-serviced hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch (no awning)

Liked we checked in late so both grass sides of pitch were taken already. I raised my concerns and straight away they sorted out the issue.

Disliked not an easy road to get into.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review, Bernadette.
We’re really pleased to hear you found the facilities good and that our team were able to resolve the pitch issue quickly when you arrived late – thank you for raising it with us at the time.
We appreciate your feedback about the access road. Due to our coastal location, parts of the approach are narrower than ideal, but we do always advise guests to take extra care on arrival and are continually reviewing signage and guidance where possible.
Thank you for recommending us and for saying you’d visit again. We hope to welcome you and your family back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park in the future.

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
