Clean site, plenty of facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. 18/08/2017

We loved how close we were to all the facilities. The site was clean and they covered everything to help make things easier for those camping in tents. Kids loved the site especially the pool which again was very clean and had plenty of area around it to relax and have a picnic if you wanted to spend the day there! Our older children enjoyed being able to go to the games Pom on there own and there being plenty of things there to occupy them for a bit. The staff were really helpful as we had issues with our tent the first night and they went above and beyond to help us. So many local attractions to visit with the kids who's ages ranged from 6-13 or just make the most of what's around you at the site as the scenery where ever you walk is stunning.

    Disliked:

My only issue was due to the size of our tent we were pitched by the caravans and you can't level a tent so we did have issues being positioned on a slight slope but this wouldn't stop me going there again. Ot can be a very windy location so be prepared!

From the manager...

Thank you for leaving your review of our site.
So glad we could be helpful to help your holiday.
We try to describe the pitches as best we can but nothing quite describes it as much as a review, thank you.

The campsite is in a great location and extremely tidy with all the necessary facilities you would expect. The staff are friendly and we had a very good experience there.

    Disliked:

Only bug bear is that our tent was in almost touching distance to the tent next door. Not a problem if all the tent pitches were occupied but to the right if us there were five empty slots in which we could've been given.

From the manager...

Thank you for leaving a review of our site.
We are so glad you found our facilities to your liking.
All pitches have a maximum size of 8m x6m which includes the guy ropes and parking. There is a 2m exclusion zone in between pitches so theoretically it is impossible to have tents side by side if the customer has stated their pitch size and followed the pitching instructions given by the site staff.
Unfortunately as in your case, we have had several cancellations so were unable to move sited customers once pitched and we have noticed people are bringing larger tents which makes our generous pitch sizes look very small.

A lovely, welcoming site with amazing cliff views. We stayed on a larger cliff edge tent pitch. Not for the faint hearted once the wind gets up - make sure your tent can withstand gusts of 25-30mph plus! If it can then you're onto a winner with this site. Julie, Gary and other site staff were all friendly & helpful. Amenities were kept in good order. We liked the radio music in the toilet/shower blocks. The cliff path steps are steep but worth the effort of getting down/up for the peaceful beach & rock pools. We even caught a peep of the badgers one evening. Looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing views and very friendly staff. Toilet blocks very clean and spacious. Beautiful place.

    Disliked:

The entrance to park has very narrow lanes but ok if you take the one with more space. Cliff edge camping very windy in bad weather but our tent held up for the one night we had bad wind.

From the manager...

Thank you r leaving your review of our holiday park.
We try to list all of the plus and minus points to help holiday makers choose the site they stay at.
We can control our site in relation to washrooms, pool, play area and facilities but we don't have any control on the weather and access on public roads, we do however give guidelines to the correct way to access the site and times to arrive and depart then it is down to the individuals to heed or ignore.
The beauty of our site is we are not on the main road so there are a select few holiday makers who find us, fall in love with the site and surroundings and stay.

The Caretaker couldn't be more helpful, the site was lovely, the outdoor pool was clean and warm, the toilets and showers were bright and spotless and I loved the music playing in there, the view was outstanding and we were treated to a beautiful sunset every night, the park was brilliant for my three children aged 5, 10 and 12 and could be seen by all the touring pitches, the kids never got bored once. I loved the extra touches such as the herb garden you could help yourself too plus a dolphin watch and nature trail! Brilliant site for families! Would definitely recommend.

    Disliked:

Can get a bit windy, day 4 of our stay seen off a few tents! Quite an awkward road getting into the site, luckily we didn't meet another caravan being towed heading in the opposite direction as there was not enough passing spaces, they try and promote a one way system but it needs to be more obvious. I can imagine older children getting bored as there is no clubhouse and the nearest town is 3 mile away.

From the manager...

Thank you for leaving your review of our site.
We are happy that everything we have control over was to your liking.
We would love to have a one way system but as it is 2 miles of public highway and there are local people living there we try to advise people of arrival times and departure times so as not to cause congestion on the lanes.
Older children always get to the boredom level with or without a facility for them whether they are at home or on holiday, whether they have wifi or not, whether there was a skate park or big dipper, we have learned this over the years of running a holiday park. The person who comes up with the invention of keeping teenagers happy will be very well off.

    Really helpful and friendly staff.
Tent pitch not too far from shower block.
    Toilets very clean.
Easy access to the beach (although steps steep - but we managed them fine).
Great coastal path into Aberystwyth - again very steep at the end.
    Nice little pool.

    Disliked:

    The weather - very windy!
I should have checked before booking but we like to be able to walk to a pub but it was just too far.
Not keen on the access road but it did point that out on the website.

Great site with clean amenities. The views were fantastic of the coastline and surrounding areas. The kids loved the heated pool and play area. Staff very friendly and helpful, the shop in reception sold basics but very reasonably priced.

    Disliked:

The lane leading to the site narrow with only a few passin points in some areas. The washing up facilities were under cover and always clean but water could do with being hotter.

From the manager...

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review of our site.
Thank you for the photographs.
We are always looking at ways to make the way in better for all, we try to be as informative as we can about arrival times, after 2pm and departure times before 12 noon but cannot control what time people nip out to the town or any of the locals that share our access road to the park.
Thank you for the comments about the washing up water, we will look into getting the temperature sorted.
