General

  • Woodland camping in Pembrokeshire - campfires encouraged.

Kitewood camping is set in a beautiful 60 acre woodland on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. We have just 9 woodland camp pitches and 1 dragon tipii - so there is lots of space.

Pitch's are separate from each other (though you might grab a glimpse of your neighbour through the trees). Each has it's own covered campfire area complete with fire pit, grill and picnic table. Every pitch has it's own compost toilet so no queues here.

We have hot showers and a separate dish washing area, both of which are set in lovely timber frame structures nestled cosily into the woods.

The site is car free during the week with cars allowed to pitches for loading and unloading only. This means that everyone is able to roam around the network of tracks and paths safely and with total freedom.

Your hosts David and Sarah stay on site in a retro caravan and will make sure your summer holiday is as great as possible. David is big into wildlife and hosts a pond dipping session in our local pond and an evening bat walk. Both are free of charge. We also run a bushcraft course in the woods. It is aimed at families and covers the basics of survival including shelter building, fire lighting, and camp cooking.
