  • Small, friendly and quiet Anglesey touring site with Eryri views
  • Newborough Forest 15 minutes’ drive and Rhosneigr 20 minutes
  • Fishing lake on the grass field; pubs and cafés five minutes’ drive
At just a 15-minute hop in the car from the Menai Bridge, Birdworld Leisure is a small, family-friendly and oh-so-peaceful touring site with far-reaching views to the peaks of Eryri National Park peaks over on the mainland. The spacious grass pitches are level, and there’s access to water but no electricity. Modern facilities stand on the edge of the field, including toilets (one with disabled access) and a shower with plenty of hot water. Anglers can make a beeline for the on-site fishing lake or try their luck on the River/Afon Briant, which runs through the neighbouring field. Birdworld Leisure is dog-friendly too, and you can walk any four-legged friends directly from the pitches, through the forest at nearby Newborough or on Llanddwyn Beach. For those of you who are self-catering, the nearest supermarket is in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll (15 minutes’ drive). When you fancy a night off the cooking rota, you have a choice of pubs and cafés within five minutes by car, as well as seafront restaurants in lively Rhosneigr (20 minutes).

What customers say

This new campsite offers a clean, spacious, and peaceful rural retreat with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Reviewers highlight well-maintained facilities, including immaculate toilets and showers with plenty of hot water, alongside a fishing pond and a rope swing for children. While some noted proximity to a main road, this was not a significant detractor. The site is praised for its scenic location, privacy, and freedom to pitch anywhere, with many keen to return.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked I arrived here with my 7 year old daughter in out converted campervan. It was easy to find and as we pulled in it was very clean and tidy with nicely cut grass and very level ground. Plenty of space as at the time there was only one other person camping in a tent. We were approached by one of the owners and they were very welcoming, answered any questions I had. Was told where the facilities were. There are male and female toilets on site that are nice and clean. These are open 24/7. There's also an outdoor shower and a converted trailer into some showers. They turn the generator on mornings and evenings, but stated they are more than happy to swith it on when ever if we needed it. There's one shower cubical, but has two showers so great for families. Plenty of hot water. There's a rope swing for the kids, my daughter enjoyed playing on it. There's a pond that they for people who want to fish and plenty of safety rings around the perimeter of the pond.
Very dark at night and very peaceful. Lovley place to wake up and get a coffee on the go. We weren't there too long as we arrived about 5om and had to leave by about 10am, however it was very quiet so judging by how nice the owners were, they may have given us more time if I'd asked nicely 😌 but will definitely be visiting again. This is a new site and and I would highly recommend.

Helpful and friendly owner
Very close to the beach, and in a scenic area
Fishing pond in the centre of the land

Disliked Right next to a main road so can be noisy while you’re sleeping, (not bad enough to to not stay here)

Liked A wonderful family that really cares for their campers, when the play barn is up and running kids will enjoy it even more, clean, and literally just leave you to do whatever you like, we played ball games, bbqs were out, people had camp fires, plenty big enough for privacy if wanted
