Ik was blij met The view is spectacular, the site is flat, and grass is well kept.

Ik was niet blij met The facilities are awful tbh. I'm a regular camper and experienced the full range of facilities out there, but I can't believe the previous reviews haven't mentioned how bad the facilities really are. The toilets are old fashioned mobile toilets, the kind you would get on a building site or Christmas market. The one shower is powered by a generator (need to catch the eye of the owner to have it turned on) and was a former building site decontamination cubicle me thinks, with a shower head bolted to a tap - was also cold when I used it. The owner and his mates stay in three caravans in the corner of the site. My mum would describe it as "Heath Robinson" site and I would agree.

Ik was blij met Great views of Eryri and the mountains.
Close proximity to Newborough Beach (would recommend trying the ice cream van there).
Managed to see a variety of birds swooping about, geese, buzzards etc
Good customer service from the guys on site, always on hand if there’s an issue.
The facilities are basic but sufficient. I liked that there was a box of toiletries (in the women’s toilet) that could be used in case you needed (toothbrush, deodorant, period pads etc) - excellent idea!
Budget friendly, relaxed atmosphere, easy going.
No WiFi offered however signal was good enough for us.

Ik was niet blij met Campsite is a field and pitches are allocated on a first come first serve basis. If you need to leave the site for any reason your pitch is not reserved, which tbh was fine for us this time however I could see if being inconvenient for longer stays or for people who like to know where to put themselves.
There was only one shower (although two shower heads within??) which again, wasn’t an issue for us during our stay but upgrading to a couple of showers would make this site better I think :)

Ik was blij met The setting, how peaceful it was, the fishing pond, the swings for the kids, 8 toilets in total, how close it was by car to Menai Bridge, how friendly the people who owned it were, how accessible it was to speak to staff, how there was no check in or check out so we werent rushed in the morning, local lovely cafes. Great place would 100% return.

Ik was blij met I wanted to share a review with the campsite directly before publicly but I can’t see any contact details.
Pros. The owner (?) James was really welcoming. The pitches are wonderfully flat, nice location and can pitch where you like. The swing in the tree was a lovely addition and a massive hit with our daughter. The toilets, although a bit retro, were wonderfully clean. Lots of well pressured water points.

Ik was niet blij met Cons. Although James seemed to be making this place feel welcoming I really struggled with the very large dog belonging to his friend or family living/staying on the site, that was free to roam. Mastiff type and a pointer who may have been lovely but with a 3yo and large dog of our own it made me nervous. Especially as they were close to the toilet facilities.
One shower which we did not use and no washing up facilities at all which was tricky. Has potential but not sure we would stay here again.

Ik was blij met Nice little site, quiet, welcoming guy at reception
Toilets and showers basic but spotless and loved how they have a basket in the ladies toilets of things you might have forgotten, saintly towels, tooth brushes. Thought this was a lovely little touch
We would definitely return

Ik was niet blij met Not so much a dislike, would be great if on site they had more showers. So just a bit poor that there is only one shower room, wouldn’t put me off staying again, I just think it would be great to have more

Ik was blij met We enjoyed the place very much! Beautiful wiev to the mountains, and the pond is also lovely. The kids enoyed the swing very much.

Ik was blij met Really good site, clean and quiet. Different areas to choose from, under trees, near the pond etc. Great facilities to accommodate guests including spare toothbrushes , sanitary products , shampoo , conditioner etc. Hot double shower.

Great customer service from the workers 😋
