What customers say
This is a beautiful, basic campsite in a stunning location with spectacular mountain views and a river. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, spacious pitches, and clean facilities, particularly the hot showers. It's ideal for exploring local walks and towns. However, some guests noted that toilet facilities could be improved and occasional noise from other campers, though this is not the norm. Overall, it offers great value for a peaceful getaway.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked It's a really nice place with some lovely scenery. It did get a little crowded for a while. But the family that camped next to us also had kids, and our children started playing together, which was great because it gave us more time to relax.
The main facilities include only one male restroom; however, chemical toilets are distributed throughout the campsite.
Overall, it's a good, quiet spot.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely field, exceptional helpful staff, plenty of portaloo’s around the massive field, kept clean and always stocked up with toilet rolls and sanitary soap. Showers were clean and always hot water.
Disliked Only one washing up station which we had to queue up as was a busy site, only one sink to have a wash and brush teeth,

Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Amazing views down the valley towards Cader Idris. Plenty of room around the site. Sporadically placed blue toilets that were always clean, even on a bank holiday weekend. Showers were always clean & warm, simple but effective.
Disliked Not so keen on the dish wash area. Another sink would seem appropriate & maybe se hot running water for them.

From the manager: Thanks for your feedback and yes, we agree - the views are great!
We are in the process of improving our facilities but they are cleaned regularly. We do have a ‘quiet time policy’ and are more than happy for people to contact if not all visitors do not adhere to this (as we don’t live on-site site, we’re not aware unless someone tells us).
Great position near the Mach loop.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great scenes great amenities helpful owners very peaceful and relaxed short walk or drive to shop and fuel would recommend.
Disliked Nothing I dislike about this camp site

We very much enjoyed our stay here!
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked The beautiful view. Kind, helpful and attentive owners. The space for the pitch was wonderful and the space for the children to play was great! The river and “pool” area was fantastic for a cold water dip every morning.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked We come to this site regularly and always have a wonderful time! Loads of space, lovely views, the owners are lovely too. Always look forward to our holidays here
Disliked Toilets and showers could do with an update but we were told it’s being taken care of so it’ll be great when it’s done

Excellent site with amazing staff and big pitches.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked We had an absolutely perfect stay at this campsite! The location is fantastic – peaceful, beautiful, and right next to a calm river that my two boys loved swimming in all day. It truly felt like the ideal spot for a family getaway. Everything about the place made it so relaxing and enjoyable, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. We’ll definitely be back again soon, and I’ll be recommending this campsite to everyone I know!
Disliked The toilet facilities were fine and well-kept, though it would have been nice to have a few extra around the field, as they were quite spread out. After a few days they did start to smell and become a bit uninviting, but that was really the only minor downside we experienced.

Wouldn’t stay there again.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The view. Porta cabin toilets which were added on our second day meant we didn’t have to use awful shared bathroom.
Disliked Amenities were terrible:
*1 sink per men’s toilet and one for women’s for hundreds of people is really inadequate.
*Dirty bathrooms every time I went in.
* Only 1 outside and uncovered sink for hundreds of people to wash up in!! Water drained, and constantly overflowed, into a bucket under sinks broken pipe! This meant you were standing in a puddle. On top of this the sink was always filthy.
*Showers were mouldy in places and dirty.
*Bins overflowing always and no where to put food waste!
*Grass really long so hard to put up tent and also people played loud music until past 12 at night without owners telling them to be quiet!

From the manager: Thanks for your feedback.
We agree that our facilites need a re-vamp and are in the process of building new facilities which should be ready next season. However, they are cleaned regularly and kept tidy.
Bins are also emptied regularly but can prove difficult to keep on top at busy times.
With the weather we’ve had, it can go from no grass to too much grass so quick! But we try to manage this as best we can.
Apologies for the loud noise. We have a quiet time policy and visitors are more than welcome to contact at any time if there’s a problem (as we don’t live on-site, we’re not aware of this unless someone tells us).
Thanks again for the feedback but 1/10 feels a bit harsh.
