Great spot for a weekend with friends or as a family/couple.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Brilliant campsite, we love that we get to pick where we would like to camp. Hosts are friendly and helpful. We are allowed fires and they sell logs at the check in desk. They have good bathroom facilities.

Amazing place, definitely returning soon
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked We had a fantastic stay at this campsite. The pitches were spacious and it was wonderfully quiet at night, making for a very relaxing break. The modern toilet and shower facilities were clean and well maintained.
The owner was friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed the opportunity for wild swimming in the river and loved being able to have a campfire in the evening.
The views were absolutely stunning, with breathtaking scenery of Cader Idris and the surrounding forests. A beautiful campsite in an amazing location – we would definitely return and highly recommend it.
Disliked No dislikes at all, but one suggestion that could make an already great campsite even better would be a small children’s play area in the large field where the non-electric pitches are located.
It would also be helpful if campers could store freezer packs in a site freezer to keep cool boxes chilled during their stay. These would be welcome additions, especially for families and tent campers.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Fairly level site with plenty of room, basic but clean showers and toilets, not much else to report on. Didn't see any staff during our stay but not a problem as there's an online check-in and the mobile signal isn't too bad.

Excellent site, great views, plenty of space and friendly people
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Second time visiting this site last one was about three years ago, since then there’s a new toilet/shower block been installed which is so much better than the old portacabin style we had last time.
Check in was easy and straightforward you can either stop off at the top static as you enter the site or drive down to the field and use the QR code. Selecting your pitch is straightforward too, electric down the middle of the field and non electric anywhere else (usually around the sides). Massive field so plenty of options for a bit of space around your pitch. If you don’t speak to the owner on arrival due to using the QR code he usually calls around the field a few times during the evening in his Land Rover or quad.
Located just on the edge of the Mach loop so depending on flight path you do get to see a few of the planes flying overhead or a 10-15 minute drive to the actual loop.
Petrol station and Starbucks on the top road or a 6 minute drive down to Dogellau.
Disliked Not so much a dislike but more of a camper view about the pot wash facilities, it would probably benefit being sited next to the new shower block with a small canopy over it to provide a bit of shelter from the rain and sun and maybe an extra sink. Also would be better if there was hot water piped to the sink.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked I loved this campsite as it had excellent toilets and the view was amazing . I did not find a fault in this campsite and I would definitely recommend this campsite to friends and family as I enjoyed my time there very well!!!
Disliked I would say the washing up area is very tight as it only has one place to wash and standing in line takes forever. I would ask if you guys would be able to add more washing places so there wouldn’t be a line. and the wood should be free, thanks
