A beautiful, peaceful campsite nestled in a valley by a river. Visitors praise the clean facilities, friendly and helpful owners, and idyllic riverside pitches. The site is well-maintained with excellent walking opportunities directly from the grounds. While some found it busy during peak times, the overall atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil. Electric hardstanding touring pitch (riverside)

Liked Our 3rd visit to this lovely peaceful campsite.
We always park our moho on the riverside pitch.
Greeted by Tammy & Mike, parked up and put our dog pen up.
Lovely mowed grass- well maintained site, clean and well stocked toilets and showers.
Electric hook up . Waste disposal by the toilets. Water tap within 30m.
Plenty of nature to listen to and the sound of the small river.
Very relaxing time . Busier this visit due to a large group doing their Duke of Edinburgh award.
No trouble- well organised- well behaved and they were in bed before us 9pm zzzzz
This is one of our favourite semi local escapes and will return again soon.
Well done to Tammy & Mike for keeping a lovely site 👍

Disliked A little crowded

From the manager: Thanks for your comments.
Apologies we were a bit cramped, but with the bank holiday, half term, heat wave and amazing weather, we tried hard to accommodate every body, and unfortunately a few people brought larger tents than expected.

Liked Absolutely beautiful!! We went in half term may with the scorching heat 🥵 but the owners were checking on everyone making sure all ok. The facilities, the views, the dee valley me and little one lied in to cool down, it was so peaceful, 100,% will come back. Met some lovely people, up the road a little village with a spar pub and great park for the kids. Llangollen 5 miles and oswestry about 9 miles. If you want to switch off and chill the campsite is the place. Owners very helpful too, very pleasant, helpful! X

Disliked Nothing to dislike. Spot on.

Local attractions

If walking's your passion, this is the place for you, say the owners of Ceiriog Valley Park… The North Berwyn Way is for experienced or energetic hikers, covering 15 miles of waymarked route split into five sections; start at Llangollen if you want to tackle the full route. The Dee Valley Way is also waymarked over 15 miles and runs from Llangollen to Corwen. More energetic walks – and climbs – are around the Berwyn Mountains such as the hike around the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, but if you want to take things a tad more easily, take the steam train of the Llangollen Railway for the 10 miles between Llangollen and Corwen, or take a ride via a horse-drawn boat on Llangollen Canal, part of a World Heritage Site. Pony trekking and quad biking are also available in the area.
