Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Beautiful campsite. River is perfect for children to play in. Owners are delightful, very friendly and helpful. Toilets clean.
One of the best campsites I’ve been to - may be biased because the weather was glorious but still you couldn’t ask for more.
Late check out available so no frantic packing up in the morning.
An on-site shop selling basics or ice lollies would be a great addition.
Free wifi is very useful, a bit spotty at times but serves its purpose.

Disliked Poor shower pressure but it’s free and hot so really not a problem.

Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Site was a great size not too big and not too small. Nice choice of pitches some near the river and some in the trees.
Grounds were well kept with plants and trees. Recycling area and sinks in good clean condition.
Showers and toilets were spotless

Disliked I am disabled and use a chair the disabled room was great and supported my needs.
The grounds were good for my chair.
The only thing I disliked was the sign on the door saying use disabled shower in busy peak season.
A disabled facility should be just that .
Family's use it for ease as do couples.
Most places us our radar keys to keep the facility clean and safe.
The showers are very good and very clean there are a good number of showers available. I was able to use the shower each time.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (riverside)

Liked Amazing pitch right next to the river on hard standing with electric.
Water supplies are a very short walk from the pitches as are the toilets/showers.
Wi-Fi was available and was suitable for watching online tv.
The site is very well maintained and the owners are very welcoming.
We had an amazing and relaxing week with a mixture of visiting local attractions and relaxing on site.
We will be returning in the future to continue exploring the local area.

Disliked No dislikes for the site at all but I should have brought suitable pegs for the hard standing area where our awning was going. Grass pegs and plastic screw in pegs are useless on this surface.

Local attractions

If walking's your passion, this is the place for you, say the owners of Ceiriog Valley Park… The North Berwyn Way is for experienced or energetic hikers, covering 15 miles of waymarked route split into five sections; start at Llangollen if you want to tackle the full route. The Dee Valley Way is also waymarked over 15 miles and runs from Llangollen to Corwen. More energetic walks – and climbs – are around the Berwyn Mountains such as the hike around the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, but if you want to take things a tad more easily, take the steam train of the Llangollen Railway for the 10 miles between Llangollen and Corwen, or take a ride via a horse-drawn boat on Llangollen Canal, part of a World Heritage Site. Pony trekking and quad biking are also available in the area.
