What customers say
This campsite offers a beautiful location with lovely views and a good play area for children. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, and the on-site pub serves good food. However, many reviews highlight that the toilet and shower facilities are dated, often unclean, and insufficient for the number of guests, leading to queues. Some visitors also reported issues with noise from the nearby road or other campers, and uneven pitches.

Really nice stay in a beautiful area would stay again.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The area was beautiful, the toilets and showers are what you would expect for a campsite that is £30 a night. The park is perfect for the little ones.
Disliked That it does not have a noise down time. However for camping you do expect some noise from others.

Paid less for better in the past.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Views were beautiful.
Disliked Pitch was on a big slope so didn't sleep well at all. Twice I had to wait for females to vacate the male toilets. No signs saying male or female. No paper towels to dry your hands after using the toilets.

Liked The view and camping field. Gorgeous location.
Disliked 4 Terrible portacabin toilets and showers. This campsite must be losing so much business because of them.

Lovely view…
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely view
Disliked Attracted quite loud people, in fact the police were called to the campsite because people were shouting at each other past midnight

Basic site, with basic facilities. But ok for 1 night.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Found a relatively flat pitch.
Pub looked ok, and the pub's outdoor setaing areas were done quite nice.
Disliked Shower and toilet facilities were very messy. Being so close to the road leading to the horseshoe pass wasn't great, basically every boy racer and his dog were flying up and down the road all hours of the night.
On check in, I wasn't told where the showers or bins were, but found them driving into the site. Think they could maybe capitalise on the pub side a bit more, food offer for campers. Breakfast option possibly. Appreciate campers tend to cook their own food, but I'm sure they would have some takers.
