What customers say
This campsite boasts a stunning location with beautiful views and offers a friendly atmosphere. Facilities, particularly the toilets and showers, are frequently described as dated and in need of an update, with some guests experiencing issues with cleanliness and water pressure. While the on-site pub and park for children are appreciated, noise from the nearby road and occasional disturbances from other campers are noted. Some visitors found the site to be overpriced for the facilities provided.

Basic site, with basic facilities. But ok for 1 night.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Found a relatively flat pitch.
Pub looked ok, and the pub's outdoor setaing areas were done quite nice.
Disliked Shower and toilet facilities were very messy. Being so close to the road leading to the horseshoe pass wasn't great, basically every boy racer and his dog were flying up and down the road all hours of the night.
On check in, I wasn't told where the showers or bins were, but found them driving into the site. Think they could maybe capitalise on the pub side a bit more, food offer for campers. Breakfast option possibly. Appreciate campers tend to cook their own food, but I'm sure they would have some takers.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked The setting was really nice surrounded by mountains and not too far from llangollen.
Disliked The elctric tent pitches in field 1 were all under trees so no sunshine most of the day and after rain it just constantly dripped all over tent and us outside. Also i dont think any pitch had level ground.

Liked The campsite was spacious and the park was good. Location was good there waa a nice village nearby. The campsite across the road abbey farm was much nicer which we kept going over to.
Disliked The staff very rude. We came to check in at 12:10 and a miserable woman opened the door. Then we tried to open the door inside to go and check in which she then started shouting just give me a minute. When she opened the door and checked us in i said my name and she said yes but what have you booked. Customer service skills was very innapropiate. Then to top it off we had a pint of cruzcampo served in a fosters glass when they didnt even serve fosters which just ruined the overpriced pint.

Overall a very enjoyable experience, affordable and will be back
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice site with basic amenities, fair pitch size and the owners were fantastic. Couldn't fault them.
Disliked Ground is uneven and they needed better signage to point out the washing up area, drinking water and waste disposal. We only found the drinking water the day we left as we were buying big bottles from the shop
